Looking for a new laptop that will withstand an alpha user meaning use it not just for gaming but for everyday and work- is this worth it?

I've been using this as an every day driver since I bought it late in December. So far, this has been a really great purchase. I haven't played any games with it yet, mostly just due to wanting to save the SDD storage space, til I can get SDD dedicated to that purpose. And because I also want to expand the RAM first also. Honestly, this machine has performed really great. For the pricepoint that it's at, I'd definitely recommend it for a daily driver, unless you're doing something such as CAD files, 3D modeling, or other really intensive applications. I WOULD however, recommend looking into a good uninstaller program to get rid of the bloatware. The OS Windows 11 is not exactly system friendly, then you add in the McCaffee GOAT that it comes installed with, along with the 2 Asus softwares, and she runs at about 53% RAM usage, without anything else running. Also recommend a RAM upgrade. The awesome thing about this machine is that it's only ONE memory stick IN the machine when it arrives. Meaning that you can get just a SINGLE 8 or 16 GB stick to throw into it, without having to get doubles. So it's an 8 GB stick in it, not paired 4gb sticks taking up both slots.

Does it have thunderbolt 3.0?

It has thunderbolt 4.0 (and a jazzy sticker letting you know as soon as you pull it out of the box)

Will this run a golf simulator?

Which one? I am looking for a fun golf game.

Does clicking work without the bottom corner buttons? Can you just press down on just the track pad, and click, or are the bottom buttons necessary?

Yeah touching down on the trackpad also works as well. You don’t have to push down on the buttons for your click to register.
