You can have a great idea, you can have an eagerly waiting clientele, you can have a water tight business plan and still fail in business. Why because you, or your partners, or your staff, or your client or suppliers are working to a completely different agenda.It may make no sense why a business owner is actively destroying their own business, but it happens. It makes no sense to have a supplier that deliberately fail to deliver but it happens and it can make no sense that the employee that has come on board with all the right skills undermines your best efforts...This gives you a clue as to why this is happening or might happen.It starts with "them" but quickly refocusses on you. How are you doing this to yourself and to others? What could you differently that might make your life better as well as that of your family and business relationships.Over many years of developing database systems for businesses I have seen astonishing behaviour and some it was "them". Most of it was mine.If you are blaming others read this book and fix it.

This book is not a classic in Europe, I stumbled on it while in the US. I hope it does become one, as it is a simple and good framework. Use things, love people ;)

I was recently struggling collaborating on a project for a long, long time. It just didn't work no matter how hard I was trying.Then by chance I picked this book, without actually trying to solve the problem using the book and things started flowing very smoothly.I can quite relate to the guy in the story (actually many of them) as I've always been a superhero kind of guy in the 14 years of my professional life, but that made me despise other superheroes and try to expose their flaws. On top of it every time I needed to collaborate with someone I ended up micro-managing all the details, it's always been so fricking exhausting.This is a fantastic explanation of what has been going on all the time + a solution to the whole problem which opens up the possibility for productivity to skyrocket. I wish someone gave me this book many many years ago.

This is the first self help book that truly pointed a mirror at my own relationships. It made me ashamed that I had harboured so much resentment and emotion towards others but then showed how to correct this. The observation and concepts are so strong I really believe following these teachings will be transformative to me.I would recommend this to everyone.

Fast delivery, packaged well and great content. I've listened to it many times. I uploaded the files to iTunes and can also listen to the cd's in the car.

Easy to read but truly profound mindset altering book. I thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend. No matter what your role in life is, you will benefit from reading this.

Uplifting in parts and If everybody in the world read this book and took note, you can't argue that the world and work in particular would be a much happier place. But unfortunately, not everyone will read this or take heed of it, if they do. I suspect that coverts to this book may accuse me of not understanding it properly, but my view is that if you follow the advice in the book, you become at risk of becoming a doormat.
