A great harness -- it is easy to put on and remove and provides positive control. Easily adjustable, we were able to fit our dog perfectly. The construction appears to be strong, so I'd expect it to last a long time. At the same time, it is comfortable for longish walks (just ask Jake our supermutt). If you like harnesses for your dog, you won't go wrong with this one.

This harness is better than one I tried that had a different design. I tried a different harness (Brand X) because my dog pulls a lot. The other harness helped some, but the Carhartt harness is better for controlling pulling. The top part of the Carhartt harness is thicker and more substantial that the Brand X harness. The Brand X harness was a flimsier material. When my dog pulled, it would bunch up on top. The Brand X harness had three buckles; the Carhartt harness has only one buckle, so it’s easier to put on and take off. To put it on, you slip it over the dog’s head and then buckle the strap that goes around the chest. The Carhartt harness design is simpler, and it works well. The front hook seems to reduce pulling even better than the rear hook, though the straps bunch up a bit if the dog turns its head. The chest strap is thick and strong. All in all, this is a sturdy, well designed harness that works. It really helps lessen pulling. Now if my dog sees a squirrel, all bets are off, regardless of what harness is used.

Absolutely adorable, stylish and comfortable for my pup, Chester. He’s a 15lb maltipoo and small fit great. Amazing quality, fit over his Carhartt vest so it made walking him with a leash so easy.

Harness is well made. It seems true to size. My dog is just under 24" around her chest & 18" from neck to butt. I ordered a medium and there is still more give in the straps. It has a nice metal hook for a leash on the back and also on the neck. She slipped right into and out of it and didn't seem to mind it for our 2 walks today. The reflection works really well, was nice to have for our walk tonight.

The quality of this harness is awesome. Our dog weighs almost a 100 pounds and this helps a lot to hold him back with the leash and not accidentally choke him. Also has a handle on the back. Love the color.

This harness has worked wonders for a VERY hard-pulling girl. Now our walks are enjoyable for us. I would recommend this Carhartt's harness to anyone who needs a harness for a doggie who pulls too much, just as I would recommend Carhartt in general for other products they make. My one quibble is the loop where the leash attaches is plastic instead of metal. I would have been entirely willing to pay an extra couple dollars for steel instead, and I am sure others would do so as well, since people look to Carhartt for quality that isn't available with other brands (like for the best work socks, go with Carhartt or Darn Tough, or for the best work cargo pants, I haven't found a pair better than the ones Carhartt makes). So using steel for attachments instead of plastic would be an improvement, but on the whole this harness is phenomenal.

This is one of the better harnesses I’ve used, especially for the price. It’s easy to get on and off, which matters when your dog isn’t exactly standing still. My dog pulls a lot, and I’ve struggled to find a lower cost harness that feels durable and comfortable, and this one does a good job overall. That said, for very strong pullers, it may not be enough on its own for longer walks or full pull control. Still a good option if you want something simple, well made, and affordable.
