Used this as I didn't want to shut off the street's water to mess with my piping. Managed to clamp shut the incoming water mains, fix new internal stopcock. I added a little bit of pipe over the removable part so that the pipe could clamp more firmly. Did the job perfectly.

Great piece of kit to have for the handyman, works great but yeah you need a piece of half inch pipe to work properly.

Tale of two halves. Rather than empty out kitchen corner cupboards to climb inside to reach worlds stiffest stop cock. Thought I would just use squeeze off tool. What could go wrong? Well there’s a story. Do NOT assume you know which direction pipe is been feed by, especially if you’re up a ladder with no one else around and previous ‘plumber’ has decided to route pipe you need to cut into outside. Otherwise you will end up soaking, as you fight to move squeeze of tool from one side of pipe you have just cut onto the other live side. Thankfully it was a lovely day. So the free cooling off was an unexpected welcome, but it did look like I had wet myself - that’s the excuse I’m using for having wet pants. BTW tool managed to successfully squeeze off 15mm speed fit pipe. Afterwards, recommended once you’ve loosened off tool, rotating it around pipe by 90 degrees and give a little squeeze to help straight pipe out again. It does the job, but it’s only as good as the numpty that’s using it.

Tool is well built , feels good in the hand but didnt work too well on 15mm qualpex , tightened all the way but still passes water , had to stick small piece of wood on the bar to make the pipe seal !!
