Dead as the proverbial DODO !
I use an HP laptop that has built in WiFi & Cellular . I Disabled both in Control Panel in Win 11 prior to the install.I could access the adaptor to install the files . I did this , Rebooted my Laptop & on every attempt it did not find the adaptor . It will show up in C/P as a Wi-Fi adaptor but that is as far as it goes .... I can view all of the settings including the driver info but it's still not able to be used as a WiFi adaptor whatever you do !There appears to be an LED on the top of the unit , This did not light up at all indicating that there was any power to the stick connected via USb 3.0 or 2.0 , Therefore I can only assume that I have a dead unit that thinks it is purely a memory stick ! .I have 2 x Identical laptops that my wife & I use & it would work on neither !!!I am by no means a "Newbie" when it comes to tech so don't think I have been Dazzled by Science as I have been using computers since the DOS era and know my way round all the versions of Windows with my eyes closed having built & configured more P.C's than you can shake a proverbial stick at !Sorry but I will stick the the internal Wi-Fi Adaptor this time ....Hope this helps...

Plug and play, instant link speed improvement. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) speed consistent and fast.
This unit is literally plug-in and play. The USB connector should auto play when plugged in, if not you can access the folder/file by browsing on your computer settings. Double click and you are away.Tested speed and reliability on the good old Windows Home PC which had:- Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) network band 5Ghz wireless adaptor (number of years old now). Average Link Speed (Receive/Transmit) circa 325/325 (Mbps)V.s. (The comparison to this wireless adaptor)- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) network band 5Ghz average Link Speed (Receive/Transmit) circa 1201/1201 (Mbps)A bit off the 1800Mbps, but fast enough. If the numbers above mean nothing, take it that the wireless adaptor works a treat.*Note: Test depends on your router supporting Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. Speed of internet page loads will depend on the site you visit and your own home broadband service (i.e. fibre).Pros/cons+ Two independent movable antennas (left/right of the device), plug and play. Little blue light flashes as the connection is active and working. The product image has the blue led light on each antenna, but it is actually a single led light at the front of the unit.- Does get a bit warm, but it has vents running the length, both sides so should be alright. Provided you have the antenna raised and out the way.**Update – For some reason this adaptor takes a few minutes before it can connect to the Wi-Fi every time the computer starts. Had this as a 4 star, but given this reduced to 3 stars.

Fast.
-.presentation.-It comes in a standard branded box. No worse or better than any others for this kind of products. The item itself is discrete with the antenas down, and a little more visible with the antenas up.-.Installation.-It is very easy to install. Insert in to a USB 3 slot in the computer, and a pop-up will come up, click browse and click on install.EXE, wait for the driver to install, and reboot the computer. That’s it.-.performance.-This Newfast wifi adapter has impressive performance. In a best out of 5 test, with the adapter situated about 6 meters away from the router and, with a weight bearing wall in between, it reached 568Mbs download speed, outperforming the Net Gear it replaced by a whooping 300Mbs, and my Samsung Fold 3 at the same location (in WI-FI-6 5ghz mode) by 160Mbs. The test was conducted on a Virgin 1Gbs contract.-.Durability.-Too early to say. I shall update this review in a few months.-.Conclusion.-I have no experience with similar adapters, my Net Gear is a few years old, and it is not compatible WI-FI 6 so, it is not a like for like comparison. It did, however, outperform my Fold 3 which is WI-FI 6 and 6e compliant.I found this Newfast adapter to be a very capable device, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.4 stars for now - will upgrade to 5 pending durability.

Its good at what it does, for those who do not have a built in solution
The NEWFAST 1800Mbps USB WiFi Adapter is a decent addition for those seeking an upgrade in their wireless connectivity. While it claims to offer WiFi 6 capabilities with speeds up to 1800Mbps, the actual performance may vary depending on the network conditions and other factors. The inclusion of MU-MIMO technology is a positive aspect, potentially improving the efficiency of data transfer in crowded networks. The two high-gain antennas suggest enhanced signal reception, but the real-world range and stability might differ based on the user's environment. The compatibility limitation to Windows 10/11 may be a drawback for those using other operating systems. However, for users within the specified range, the USB 3.0 interface ensures relatively faster data transfer compared to USB 2.0.The WPA3 security feature is commendable for enhancing network security, providing a layer of protection against potential threats. Installation is relatively straightforward, with the adapter being plug-and-play for Windows 10/11 users. The NEWFAST 1800Mbps USB WiFi Adapter serves its purpose as an entry-level WiFi 6 solution for Windows 10/11 users. While it may not outperform higher-end options, it offers a decent upgrade for those seeking improved wireless connectivity on compatible systems.
