Wild

This is my daughters favourite book, we got one for home as she first read it at school. Such beautiful illustrations and I loved the ending!

I can't wait to sit down and read this with my children. Such a great modern children's book- exactly the kind of thing I would want to put on their bookshelves alongside the classics. It's a touching short story about trying to change something that doesn't need changing and the importance of happiness and just being yourself, told alongside the beautiful and charming illustrations by the author herself- Emily Hughes, whose wonderfully quirky and sketchy drawing style adds to the 'wild' feeling of it all. Let out your Wild side and get this book, you won't regret it!

The illustrations are beyond gorgeous, and it is a magical little tale of a girl who is wild and free. My toddler loves to point out the flowers and the butterflies and all the beautiful animals on the pages. He has not yet grasped what the story is about, but it is so magical to see him connect to the pictures on the pages.

And she wants to read it most nights, at the moment. She finds the story captivating, even though it's pretty short as far as a story goes. Illustrations are great. My daughter is pretty wild at hart so she can probably identify lol

This book is so lovely. It's about a little girl who is wild and they try to tame her. Recommend for anyone to read to their children about the importance of being yourself.

This is, hands down, the most beautifully illustrated book I have ever seen. The pictures are so vibrant with energy and raw emotion that they transport you instantly to another world. The story itself is exquisite in its simplicity and truth. But perhaps most importantly, my baby girl loved it, turning the pages again and again, and refusing to be parted from it. There is no higher praise. I imagine that she will be reading it to her own children one day.

Brilliant story

I bought this book as an Easter present for my son (who is wild himself) who loves it. But if it's possible I love it more. It's one of the most beautifully illustrated books I have ever come across. And the story itself is a beautiful message about not changing who you really are.

This book is a marvel. Pretty illustrations, nice texts and very true moral ... Made not only for kids but at least as well pour adults. I do love it certainly also very much as my daughter just looks like the girl of the book!

New favourite book in our house. Kid loves it and I love reading it, over and over again. Cute pictures and a great story about our forgotten past to be in touch with nature.

Preso in inglese la mia bimba, a lei piace, a me anche. Storia bellissima e disegni fantastici. Consigliatissimo.

If this book said nothing, I would still buy it because the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. This book is about a little girl who grows up with animals in the wild, but gets found by people and taken into civilization. She hates it and ends up going back. Its a simple story and so adorable.

Nos encanta este libro, a mí y a mi hija de tres años. Se lo leo en inglés y en español. Las frases son sencillas y no le cuesta aprendérselas. La historia es preciosa y los dibujos una delicia. El mensaje es profundo lo cual es raro para un libro infantil. Diría que es un clásico.
