Review: Not aggressive just gentle slow movements excellent for us as we are over 70 - Excellent video even got my husband hooked on it and he is starting to feel the benefit especially in his neck. Relaxed video very clear instructions no jumping around. Review: Perfect for beginners of any age - I'm 67 and starting to stiffen up with a few aches and pains so thought I'd give Tai Chi a go as it is gentle. I bought this over a year ago, this one is for a friend who was so impressed by the difference it has made to me he decided to start. For something so gentle and on the face of it fairly undemanding it has improved my suppleness and balance and no more achy hips. I am delighted. It is just long enough and the instructions are so clear and easy to follow as you don't have to worry about right and left just copy what's on the screen . It took me a few goes to get the moves right but now I can do it like a pro. After a year of using this I have now bought the Tai Chi strength dvd to take it further. Thoroughly recommend it.

Good gentle workout
The workout on this DVD is great for anyone of any age. Gentle and good instruction. Would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately my DVD was faulty and would stick half way through. The only way I could complete the workout was to start the disc again, go past the workout section using the skip button then rewind, stopping before the sticking part, so I could finish the workout. So had to return. Will hopefully re-order when refund received. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Very good for those less fit.
After a serious illness I needed a gentle exercise to build my balance and strength up. This is great.

Tai chi over 50
I'm 62, it is really only suitable for beginners. A very light weight work out.

A full half-hour with clear demo and instructions
Aged 72, having never done tai chi before, and after many years of inactivity, I decided to try this as I was concerned about my deteriorating flexibility and balance. Firstly, the reviewer who says that there is only a 15 minutes workout is mistaken - I timed this the first three times I did it and the workout lasts fully 32 minutes - I guess it might be about choosing the right option from the opening menu. There's nothing strenuous here, so it's unthreatening and also impact-free so no danger of damaging bones and joints. I can certainly feel that my muscles are being stretched as well as having to work to maintain my balance. It's too soon to talk about results but on the basis of my experience so far I heartily recommend it. The teaching technique is a simple demonstration of demonstration and commentary - it takes a few sessions to remember some of the transitions which makes it all smoother, as is intended.

Best video!
This is the best tai chi video I've found. Aimed especially for the over 50's, its easy to follow and very enjoyable. After trying tai chi unsuccessfully in the past, ( both in a class and another video) I was delighted to find myself following all the basic moves without difficulty from the first time I watched it. David-Dorian Ross, is a world expert and has a relaxed, inspiring approach to teaching. I highly recommend this video if you want the best introduction to tai chi, with all its health benefits.

Love it.
Good introduction to Tai Chi - easy to follow, relaxed approach, non-intrusive background music. Would have liked a slightly longer (or second alternative) routine for the price - that said, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting another dvd by this guy.

In the past year I've introduced myself to Tia Chi. I really love doing it but haven't had a lot of time to commit more than 2 to 3 times a week. This DVD is Awesome. I just turned 50 but have had pain issues all over my body the past 8 years. After spending too much money on different doctors a Natural Path told me I have Fibromyalgia. The one thing I've learned is if I go more than a couple of day without the right kind of exercise the Pain persists. Tia Chi and Yoga are the best for relaxing my joints and muscles. I love this DVD because it really centers me and it's only about 35 minutes so it's pretty easy to make time. I can tell it's going to help me with my weekly routine for getting centered. Try it! You will really enjoy the easy to follow instructions and there's no strain on any part of the bod.

I'm very fit and over 50 & found this to be a great introduction for people (fit or not so fit) who are 50+ yr. old. David explains well and that lady who does it with him in the video is impressive, so I thought it'd be good for 2 female friends who are approx. 68 & 86 - I gave them each one of the dvds and they've benefited from it.

This DVD is for 'over 50', but anyone can benefit from the exercises. Perfect for seniors or anyone with limited mobility. I have had five back surgeries and I have two implanted spinal cord stimulators. So I definitely was looking for some gentle do-able exercises. The entire lesson takes only 10 minutes, is easy to do. The DVD is filmed in a mirror view, so you do not have to learn the moves, just follow the instructor as he moves. Can't get any easier than that! After only a few days you'll notice (as I did), a difference. Not so stiff, can bend easier, walking and balance is improved. Your general well-being will be improved. Wish I knew about Tai Chi a long time ago. So, easy to follow exercises, 10 minute exercises, Improves walking and balance. What's not to love? Buy it, you need it, and I am so happy to recommend this DVD to you.
