I really liked the look of the solar light but my deck has a flat surface and no posts. So my son made a small hole in the plastic base and screwed the base to the flat surface. Only one screw was needed and it is good and solid. Did not use a drill to make the hole but an awl to make the hole to avoid cracking the plastic and we purchased a longer screws, but a very thin screw. Very pleased with the result and they look great on my patio.

I couldn’t be happier with the JOFIOS Solar Post Cap Lights! This 12-pack is exactly what I needed to upgrade my fence. They fit perfectly on my 4x4 posts, and all the necessary screws were included, making installation a breeze. A favorite feature is the light color option—you can choose either a warm yellow or a bright white, which adds flexibility depending on the ambiance you want. They really make my fence look top-notch, especially when they come on at night. I’m impressed by how long they last through the night. After a full sunny day, they stay bright for about 8 hours, which easily covers the whole evening. On cloudier days, they still manage about 6 hours, which is more than enough for a cozy atmosphere through most of the night. They fit perfectly on my 4x4 posts, all the screws I needed were included, and the choice between yellow and white light is a nice touch. These lights have elevated the look of my fence—highly recommend them. Great value for the price. Highly recommend these if you’re looking for an easy, classy upgrade to my outdoor space!
