3M ScotchCast Plus Casting Tape 3" x 4 Yards, White, Single Roll

My 11 year old great dane hurt her ankle/paw last week with just a limp it progressively got worse,where she wasn't putting weight on it at all. With Covid, I definitely didn't have the money or credit to take her to the vet that was going to cost anywhere from 1000.00 to 3000.00. I ordered this casting material. It comes in two rolls. Good thing because using luke warm water dunking the whole roll in a bowl of water set up so quick a whole roll was wasted. I suggest wrapping the area to be casted in cotton roll then apply a stockenette ,then open the package and wrap with casting material while then adding water to the casting material while wrapping. It's sticky but it will set in about 10 mins. I found by putting the water after applying each layer allowed me to make sure I smoothed out the casting material and gave me time to place my Layla's leg in a set standing position. I only used 3 layers and it's very sturdy where she is now able to get up with my assistance and go out to tend to her bathroom needs. The improvement in her was almost immediate as far as her demeanor her ears perked up and now sleeping comfortably. I definitely recommend this product.

I am a firefighter I use this on my tools for grip when inside of a fire. It get wet and abused and holds up for several months!

Very difficult to use. You have to move fast. Soak for 10 seconds. Unroll and wrap fast. Once it's set it is the real deal.

I’ve bought this product 3-4 times to use when a screw or glue isn’t feasible to connect two items. When enough is used, it’s insanely strong. When a wheel base was torn off of my multi-cart (a $300 4-wheeled heavy gauge gear cart) I was able to reattach it, save a $300 replacement, and load 200 lbs on the cart again as normal. I recommend ScotchCast to all my peers and have used it on many fixes since. Please note: If there’s any left over after you’re done, the remainder won’t save well. It will harden fairly quickly even if you think you’ve rewrapped it airtight (at last in the Southern US where it’s a humid). If you live in a dryer climate, saving the leftovers might work better. Either way though, it’s been my last resort fixer several times and is a killer product.

So grateful that these were available. My dog's leg broke and i took her to the vet and the told me the price for the surgery was almost $4000. I had the just realign the bon, brought her home in a splint and next day I put her ina cast. Eight weeks later, the bone healef back to normal. Now she's jumping and running around as usual.
