Great support and protection of strained ankle.
Great quality, really helped me after I strained my ankle. It stabilizes and supports my ankle, made walking a lot easier.

This is the 4th type of ankle brace / support I've tried. Will get more.
Severely sprained my ankle about 4 years ago.... and can still aggravate it very easily. do a lot of house remodeling, geocaching, etc. all which make me prone to irritating that ankle. Many are too bulky to really want to wear inside a tennis show IMHO. I have tried several types with the elastic 'lace up' and then the cross over velcro straps - and now finally this pull on elastic. This one WORKS, I am fully content wearing these inside my shoes and it doesn't bug me after several hours. While I would like more support than this gives, it does no good to have more support if I can't stand to keep it on for very long. This is the best solution for me to give my ankle support and be willing to wear it for the entire activity that I should be wearing for. considering getting 1-2 more and wearing it every day for a 4-6 week stretch and see if it helps get to the next level of healing. Long term considerations...

Ultimately a great support!
I used to play Ultimate Frisbee (no laughing) 3-5 times a week and then got a non-ultimate injury that stopped me from running for 8 months or so. Of course this meant I stupidly tried to go back to the same level of exercise way to quick, giving myself the good old weekend warrior injury of Achilles tendonitis. What a buffoon. Not learning from my lesson I attempted to push through the pain to no avail. Defeated I sulked back home to figure out what to do.After some research I got some sports tape and one of these and starting wrapping. I was able to play almost an hour before I could feel anything. One hour a week for a month and then I stopped the tape and just use this. I walk pain free now and figure in another month or so I'll be able to drop the ankle brace too.This is my second one, the first I got from a store and then lost, would buy again.

No support
This product may be a great compression sock but it gives no support to the ankle.

Good Ankle Support
My doctor told me to use this for my weak ankle rehabilitation and it's working. I don't wear it at night for sleeping. I bought an extra one for swimming, beach, steam room, etc. It has an extra layer around the ankle for support. I fold down the top about an inch, since it gets too tight around my leg, above.
