Cost, easy to install and the finished look! Terrific!
These inserts for the truck steps worked amazing. They only need to make thrm with a gradual nail. The fit was right on. The cost of these was affordable! We loved them.

Installation tips.
Very Easy to install provide you do the following. 1. Install the metal clips in the rail on the vehicle. 2. Tap the clips in until they are seated in the hole. I then take a small ball peen hammer and tapped the clips with the round end of the hammer to Flare out the clip a bit in the rail. 3. I then took a sharpie pen and marked where the holes were on the side of the rail so I would know where to strike the pad with a hard rubber hammer 4. Use a flash light to be sure the pins are over the clip holes and begin driving them in, 5. Once all the pins aligned and in the holes give each one a hard rap. Start driving from the pins in center and work your way towards both ends. 6. Be patient and drive the pins until the pad is all the way down against the Rail.

Fits Westin bars perfectly / Here is some installation Tips
Wasn't too sure about fit but the measurements looked correct. These do fit Westin E series 3 inch bars perfectly and do replace Westin part #23-0001 E-Series Step Bar Pad. They do only go on ONE DIRECTION so if it doesn't fit try turning it around. Installation 1 Pry off old step pad with putty knife or pry bar 2 Remove old clips. The way I did it was lift slightly with putty knife and use a very small nail set and drive it into the clip and pry it up. Twisting usually helps. If it is stuck then grab it with small vise grips. 3 Insert new clips into step bar and then line up pad and tap into place with rubber mallet. I tried different ways on each pad and putting the clips in the bar was WAY EASIER and resulted in a tighter fit as opposed to putting them on the new pad first. I also tried starting in the center or at one end and it really didn't make a difference. These fit perfectly and are less than half the price of a Westin Pad which doesn't seem to last very long. These appear at least as sturdy as the factory ones.

2008 Dodge 1500
Replaced the factory ones from my 2008 Dodge 1500. All but 1 went on pretty easy, with nearly exact fit as the original. Very tight fit, so if you force them on the inserts will bend or result in breaking off if you have no patience. I sprayed Simple Green to help slide them into place. Just one stubborn one didn’t seat fully. Will have to adjust later somehow.

Cheap plastic. Anchor pins bend too easily when installing
I bought these to replace the Westin pads that had disintegrated on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. Figured they couldn't be that different. I was wrong. These come with no instructions but the instructions and videos are easy enough to find on-line. I removed one of the Westin pads and followed instructions to install these: (remove old pad, remove old locking pins, install new locking pins, line up anchor posts with pins and whack with a mallet until inserted. Went fine except for that last part. I lined up all the pins and tapped them all partially in to make sure they were aligned. Began to tap them all in one at a time. First one buckled even though it was partially inserted into the locking pin. OK, it will be a little high. Nothing I can do about it. Second one was perfectly straight...until it buckled. Third one....buckled. Fourth one went in straight. Fifth one buckled. Looks awful. I examined the OE pad I removed and the posts on it were intact and rock stiff even after I removed the pad. The posts on these generic pads are more like flimsy bumper-cover material: very soft and way too flexible. I could easily bend one of these with my thumb. No way I could do that with the OE pad. So now I have one partially installed generic pad and since I installed one, probably cant return the set. I absolutely, positively do not recommend these. Spend a few dollars more and buy the OE pads.

Purchase these step pad to replace my broken pads on my x-trail T31, very good fit with no redrilling of mounting holes, all line up perfectly. The only thing, there was a gap at the ends which if you heat the pad up with a heat gun and clamp down until cold this reduce the gap for better fit. I also found by using a couple of clamps to squeeze the pad down rather than using a mallet better
