Gardena C 2030 Water Timer Plus

Bought to replace a Karcher controller that broke. This has been in use now for two seasons, left outside from early spring through to late autumn and then brought in during the winter. It’s been faultless, easy to setup, doesn’t leak and works like a charm. The only bug bear is battery life is quite poor, although this could be batteries but they were long life lithium so should have lasted ages. When the battery is changed, al settings and timings are lost, so this is annoying. Can program upto twice per day, 7 days a week (you pick the days) you can also setup delay intervals, I.e only water every other day, only on weekends etc. Goes great with my micro sprinkler irrigation system. Been so impressed by the gardena range I’ve been replacing components with their equivalent products. Avoid any Hoselock or Karcher watering systems. Just bought the latest version of this todo the front garden!

This is a nice unit with very flexible and easy programming. I was replacing a Hoselock unit and the new Hoselock units watered at dawn and dusk. I did not want the noise of running water at dawn. I have been using it for 4 weeks and it works well and seems superior quality.

This makes it easy to control two lines for irrigating different parts of your garden Minimum time for watering - 5 minutes You can water every 8 hours - so maximum of 4 times a day Each channel can be connected to a moisture sensor to control watering. One issue: when off and connected to the mains they drip slowly - not a lot but not nothing either. The interna valves are not good enough it seems to me.

Bought this to manage watering of plant pots in our garden. Worked well for 12 months, then failed as a continuous water leak developed in the top part of the unit, under the connection to the tap. Kept the electronics inside during the winter. Gardena refused to provide a replacement under the so-called 2-year warranty, made every excuse under the sun from "should not be kept outside in the winter" to "our warranty doesn't cover THAT part....". Very disappointing customer service. Pricey unit. Not recommended.

Great unit and easy to programme and use, but very expensive. 3rd replacement one as didn't realise had to bring them in during winter or frost destroys them...company need to either make that much clearer or offer replacement parts. 3 stars because of that. Otherwise very good watering controller with lots of easy to use options, plus retains the programme memory even if switched for a while. Good unit.

After my last cheap water timer failed,thought it was time to go upmarket to see if it could last, and ,so far ,it has! Easy to program, the actual front face detaches, so can be done at a table,for instance, also has a security bracket available,but would suggest a cuboard if possible .If space is tight ,do check the size as it quite deep,but seems to be much better quality all round.

Excellent unit, easily programmed and set up. Worked perfectly all summer. particularly like the ability to take the controller off the valve part so you can program it in comfort

Over the last 5 years I've gone through many of the Gardena Water timers. The problem that I've found is that even though I have stored it over the winter the following spring the valve usually fails. The computer front is fine. I've called Gardena but they deny the problem and won't sell me a new backend. This spring two more have failed so I'm sorry Gardena I've had enough of forking out 60-90 quid per device for it to fail. I've purchased a couple of the Orbit Buddys so we'll see if they last any longer (at ~25 quid it is worth a shout).

Klasse Produkt. Nach über 15 Jahren ist dieser Wassercomputer kaput gegangen. Deshalb habe ich wider den gleichen gekauft. Weil ich weiß das, dass Produkt 15 Jahre dauer Benutzung aushält. Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Würde ich jedem weiterempfehlen.

Sencillo de usar y programar, funciona perfectamente, lo único malo es que las instrucciones no vienen en castellano por lo que tienes que saber algo de inglés.

Purchased in the winter and not used until summer so Amazon would not take it back - it pours out water so it has been totally unusable .I have had no way to communicate directly with Gardena except through a third party that Amazon set me up with and who had been totally useless to communicate with. I will absolutely boycott Gardena despite liking many of their products. I am also considering not using Amazon anymore because they sold it to me. It was an expensive product and I expected it to work well.
