Great for reading in bed!!
I purchased this as having a super king size bed it can be a real pain in the a*se having to roll right over and turn off the bed side lamp when I've been reading in bed, and I'm ready to go to sleep (I know it's lazy but hey...I am in bed).I was previously managing this little problem by using a mini mag light I have , but this means actually having to perch/balance it on my chest whilst reading.........Trauma!!!So I thought I'd treat myself to one of these little beauties, and I'm really glad I did because it's fab! It's very lightweight, and not particularly uncomfortable to wear, and the light is more than enough for my use.As a frequent early morning runner, when it's currently very dark, I have considered wearing it during runs, particularly having read that other reviewers do so.However, I've decided against this as I already wear a high visibility vest over my running clothes, and the street lamps provide more than adequate lighting in the city.As such I can't comment on the lights range when outside, but for the price and size it's a brilliant piece of kit, and well worth a purchase.

Not bright for very long but ok for short walks
This little headlamp is quite flimsy and the batteries do not last all that long, but it is very handy when you are out dog walking in the dark. It fits on your head over a wooly hat when it is really cold and leaves your hands free for the all important poop scoop. It does not have an on/off switch, you have to untwist the cap slightly to turn it off. Twist it too far and the two little batteries fall out. The elastic headband is adjustable. The light is reasonably bright. I bought this on a deal price for only £5, wouldn't have liked to pay any more than this. On the positive side, I have had this a while now and it still works but I have had quite a few sets of batteries.

Great little light!
I bought this to use when I go for a run on a dark morning and chose this particular light because others had said it worked for them. I echo all the comments that others have made - this is light and comfortable and provides a good sized circle of light to show you the way on a dark morning. The packaging was the typically impossible to open plastic clamshell and the instructions on how to turn the light on are hidden away on the packaging. Maybe mine is faulty but I need the instructions because the 'intuitive' method to switch this on is to twist it but it was so stiff that I could hardly move it and I didn't want to apply too much pressure in case I broke it. It turns out that intuition is correct in this case but the lens is so tight it's very difficult to turn. Then the problem was that no matter how far I turned it the light didn't come on. It transpires that there is a sweet spot where the light comes on and and adjustment of a fraction of a mm in either direction either side of this sweet spot turns the light off again! Now that I know that the light works brilliantly and I'm very happy with it. However, I think the design of the packaging and the lens twist switch could have done with a bit more thought - hence only 4 stars.

Great value
I purchased this after stubbing my toe and falling flat on my face while running down a dark road the other day. Most of the streets near my home are well lit and I can see what's on the ground in front of me. However, about 10% of the route I run is not (alleyways etc.), so suddenly I can be running in almost total darkness. I wanted something that would cast enough light to illuminate potential tripping hazards in these dark spots, such as kerbstones or bits of branch. The torch seems to be well made for the price, is small and light and fits snugly on my head without feeling over tight. From my height (173 cm) it casts a beam about 90 cm wide on the path about 150 cm in front of me.When buying a head-mounted torch to run on the road you should consider several factors: it needs to be light and compact; you don't want it so bright that it dazzles other pedestrians or people driving on the road (or at least you shouldn't); but you want it bright enough to illuminate the ground, without being so bright that you can't see much beyond the beam emitting from the torch just a few centimetres above your eyeline. I've found the Cyba-Lite meets all these criteria and provides enough light for the purpose I use it for. If I was going down a mine shaft, or crossing the North York Moors at night, I would probably want something more powerful. However, I'm not planning to do these things so it is just right.

good but too dim for night running
I bought this on the back of positive reviews but i can't give more than 3 stars for the purpose for which i bought it, namely to run on unlit country roads in the winter months. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice little light, nice function and comfort and just about illuminates the road enough for me not to run into anything headlong. However, it's not going to prevent me tripping over something on the road nor step in a pothole. It's impossible to use it to look down and forward at the same time because the 'spot' is too small. So i feel i can only use it safely in the pitch black at walking pace or running with 'some other' illumination. I'll be trading this in for something with a bit more oomph!

Best head torch for walking
I bought this last December for walking dogs in the afternoon/evenings as we have no street lights near us. I previously had one a friend had given me for Christmas and it was so big and heavy it gave me a headache (and I dont get headaches!) So I found this one after doing quite a bit of research. Brilliant - it is so small and light you forget you are wearing it and the light is really bright I can even walk across the fields in the dark just. Highly recommended for this type of thing not sure about how confident I would feel using it for off road running but I can't beleive there would be anything better. I stick to road running in lit areas. The service and delivery were very prompt and I haven't changed the batteries yet so I have certainly had way way more than the 20 hours it reckons you get - unless that is constant use?

Molto piccola e leggera
Piccola, leggera e luminosa.
