The Forever Game: Life-Saving Technology Can Be Deadly

A story that is eve truly and exciting. The concept of existence inside of a body not human is interesting, a truly enjoyable book that i recommend,

Adam's brother has made millions with his new cutting edge company while Adam is working for the DEA. Adam's girlfriend is in the end stages of a disease that will kill her so he takes a position at his brother's company, in security in order to get her treatment. All is not well. The company has a cutting edge facility on an island off the coast of Massachusetts and someone has died, shortly before Adam arrives. Then more company-critical people die. What is going on? Adam seems to be the right person to get to the bottom of it, but he's also concerned about his girlfriend's life. A thriller that will keep you wanting to know how it all turns out.

This book was a great ride! Higgins apparently has a complex and international law enforcement background and it shows. Scenes related to weapons, tactics and instincts seemed very authentic and added depth to the action. Additionally, the science that drove the story (AI and regenerative intelligence/life extension) was fascinating but not too dense. I cared about the characters and found the ending to be an interesting twist. This was a very different book, but a great follow up (for me at least) to "Furious." I'm looking forward to more from this writer.

but the ending is a bit weak. However, I enjoyed getting there with all of the moral complexity and questions along the way. Sadly, this book raises questions without ever doing more than scratching the surface and often sounds both melodramatic and trite rather than deep and meaningful. There's a lot of Adam flying off on tangents and making assumptions, running around an island and dead bodies turning up everywhere. There's something here, but sadly it doesn't live up to its promise. That said, I would certainly read more by this author.

This is a life changing book with visually written imagery that will stir your soul. The chapters are short, holding your attention; seamlessly shifting from one scenario to the next, taking you through the labyrinth of simultaneous events, keeping you in riveting suspense. Jeff's decades of legendary law enforcement validate the accuracy of every detail. A real gem! MUST GET AND READ!!!

AI technology has reached a point where a ‘singularity’ is in sight—human and machine intelligence merge. A former DEA agent, Adam, is in the middle of the story: his brother is the money man for the tech company, and his girlfriend would benefit from the research as she is dying. With big money involved, trouble ensues. Murders mount as key personnel are eliminated. Finding out who’s responsible falls to Adam in what may be the start of an excellent series.

This is a story that keeps you turning the pages! It's fast paced, while still allowing for moments to catch your breath. It's intelligent and definitely full of action. At the core of the story there is fascinating, and a little unsettling, technology balanced with some thoughtful reflection on the ethics of the technology, which I was glad to see. It's well-written, with intensity and heart!

Excellent writing and a compelling story. The character development is as good as it gets and authentic in every detail. I'm an incredibly discriminating reader and reject the vast majority of "best-sellers." I usually don't buy thrillers, but I could not put this one down. This novel would make a great movie.
