Beautiful, and top notch quality.
I’ll start by telling you, reader, that I am absurdly picky and particular about paper notebooks that I use my fine fountain pens with. I generally go with high-end MD, Clairfontaine, or Rhodia. I stumbled on this little notebook, and I am really astounded by its quality. It is an excellent paper, beautifully stitched; the cover is lovely and neither too thick nor too thin. This will work beautifully in my Traveler’s Style notebook. I will absolutely be ordering more of these. I’m smitten.

My Search is Over - I Found My Preferred Notebook
Like most writers and fans of fountain pens, I have spent a lot of time, effort, and money finding the right paper to pair with my pens. I've been a fan of Clairefontaine paper for a number of years and this notebook doesn't disappoint. I typically write with both fine and medium nib pens with wet inks. There is no feathering nor bleed with this paper.

Two Sides to Every Store, erm. Page
Just as there are two sides to every story, there are two sides to every page of Clairefontaine Triomphe paper. The more coated side of the page is magnificent: ultrasmooth texture, no bleed through, little-to-no ghosting, and no feathering (except for perhaps the wettest of inks, and even then, it is de minimis). I prefer the Triomphe notebooks with white paper, but the Triomphe And then there is the less coated side. The texture is similar, and you still don't see bleed through or ghosting. However, the less coated side is more absorbent. This is not an issue for rollerball and gel ink pens, and you will notice no difference. For fountain pen users, however, it makes a difference. While your ink will not feather, the line width of your writing will be broader. It seems a small annoyance, but I am fastidious when it comes to pairing fountain pen inks with pens, because ink performance can significantly vary among fountain pens. As such, it is disappointing for my fountain pen to write exactly as I prefer on only half of the pages in the notebook. Again, it's not an issue for rollerball and gel pen users. Two other items of note. First, the string binding on the notebooks is outstanding, which is the key to the excellent overall construction. Second, the notebooks are not true lay-flat notebooks (like Midori MD)--but they are thin, which makes it easier to mostly flatten them. (For longer writing sessions, I typically use a tiny paperweight on the page I am writing on to keep the paper as flat as possible.) tl;dr--Well-constructed, not-quite-lay-flat notebook that finicky fountain pen users might not like.

Excellent quality
It is a perfect and compact small notebook. It is quite thin, however, the paper quality compensates. Definitely will buy again. It does not bleed through. It is very durable, elegant and makes writing pleasant

This paper will ruin all other paper for you
Clairfontaine Triomphe paper is in a class of its own. I have been buying this paper as a pad for a decade. It's expensive, but there is nothing like it. Super super smooth texture, but ink absolutely loves it. I frequently write with fountain pens which can be very picky about paper, and this works flawlessly with every pen and every ink combination I have ever used. It does not bleed through and such a joy. I only recently discovered these notebook versions and think it's an even better use of the paper, because I almost hated using the pad to "jot things down" on such nice paper. This is one of those cases you really get what you pay for.

Almost good enough!
Paper is good! Works with most fountain pen inks. But disappointing for journaling. It will not lay flat and as you write toward the binding the softcover has no support, and the paper goes write out from under you as you write causing problems. This will work OK for some notetaking as long as you do not need the full width of the page.

Lovely 90gsm Clairefontaine paper which suits all my fountain pens and inks. No bleed, feather, anything. Nicely stitched binding which doesn't look as if it'll fail. Ordered two more with white paper. Recommended, and such a low price.
