Trust the process!
I bought the European Gold, and it’s a bit more bronze for my taste, but the final product still looks nice! I repurposed a gold lid jar a college roommate gave me (super cheap gold paint) and loved the jar but wanted it to look classed-up. The rub & buff is very easy to use, a little goes a long way. It dries VERY FAST and starts to chunk together if applying more on a partially dry piece, so I was really worried it wouldn’t look good. I think the final piece ended great, no weird smudges or anything. Easy to wash off residue from hands, and it’s such a quick project to have decorations match. I will be refinishing another piece for the same room since I know it works!

Transformative...literally, provides beautiful finish and easy application
My wife and I bought the AMACO Rub n Buff Wax Metallic Finish to transform a white, ornate mirror frame into a classic European gold color frame and superb results followed! To get that impeccable, vintage look, I first painted the frame matte black, giving the gold wax a richer base (after reading up on others experiences with using this product) Then we applied the wax to the frame in a slightly uneven way to achieve a subtle antique effect, and the result was just what we were hoping for. The wax was surprisingly easy to apply, and is a very satisfying process! Though the little tube might seem pricey at first, the coverage and quality are absolutely worth it. A little goes a long way, and the end product looks like something straight out of an antique shop. Some might ask, "Why not spray paint?" and to that I would reply that it is more difficult to achieve a delicate antique look with it, and might be less forgiving. That said, this is the perfect product for anyone looking to give their tired old decor a high-end, vintage makeover!

Perfect for changing the color on wrought iron!
I purchased those on the recommendation of a crafter I follow online. It's so easy to use and makes a huge difference with minimal effort. My only advice is to buy the smallest two because it goes a very, very long way!

Works well and easy to use.
Was looking for a bright gold to brighten up an existing gold fillet. This product did not disappoint. Received in a timely manner.

Transforms the look nicely
My only complaint about this tube of rub n buff is that it seemed a little crumbly and I'm not sure it's supposed to be that way? I did sort of shake and knead it a bit before opening but it still came out kind of crumbly. Thinking it's supposed to be smoother and easier to apply. The color is really nice and it gives an antique brass finish. Be sure to buff with microfiber cloth just after you apply it in each section for slight shine, otherwise it will be dull,. A second coat may be needed. I used it on picture frames and even on a couple of metal pieces I had and it looks really nice and natural. The photo I posted was of a frame that I used it on that was a dark wood originally. Of course the color may vary in real life. It really can transform to look you're going for very nicely.

Beautiful Color, Easy to Apply
Used the soft European metallic finish for the frame I built for my TV. I love the look and it was easy to rub & buff onto the finished/primed wood however I had just barely enough to finish the project. I understand the other reviews about value for money but truth be told I liked the color a lot so willing to overlook!

Good for old hardware
Gold polish worked really well on my old hardware. I am currently stripping 1930 original hardware that has been painted over and neglected- so far very happy with the results.

Aged brass look
I used this in a black frame that I wanted to appear as vintage brass. I’m very pleased with the end result. It looks just like I hoped. This is a great product, a little bit goes a long way. The smell isn’t as bad as other reviews suggest. Very easy clean up as well.

I was extremely pleased with this product. Used it to antique an old white mirror which I sprayed black. Tidied up a tarnished cast iron bed and changed the colour of a curtain pole. My only complaint is that it worked out very expensive ordering it through England. Duty was half the price of it on top. Will source better price next time as I won’t be needing it as quickly.

I had a metal table that was starting to discolor, and I was able to restore it to its original color beautifully with Rub 'n Buff! The metallic finish looks fantastic, and the table looks as good as new. However, be cautious: do not let it come into contact with water. The table accidentally got wet, and unfortunately, it left a mark on our floor. So, while the product works wonderfully for restoring and enhancing the finish of metal surfaces, it's essential to avoid any exposure to moisture. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results, just be mindful of the water risk!

These are FDM 3D printed parts using PLA and primed with a black rattle can. Was not expecting this to be so easy to use, nor was I expecting to be so happy with the results, especially on my first time using this. Seems to only need 1 coat (going over an already covered patch can rub it off, but it’s easy to seamlessly cover again). The tube is tiny, but it goes a long way. I’ve done a few parts and have barely touched the tube. Each part just takes a couple minutes, and the results are brilliant. I wish we had the full colour selection available in the uk, Id never use paint again.

I love theses metallic paints. Don’t be fooled by the small size, as it goes a very long way & transforms items instantly with a beautiful finish & lustre like no paint can achieve, also easy to use too!
