This is a book for a person who wants to know the real proofs of the things they are teaching in high school geometry. You could teach yourself many of these proofs and it also offers great references which one could find in case of any confusion.

Hey, its geometry. This was a required text for a class. It was a little hard to follow for a novice because it assumes you know a lot about other forms of math. In particular it uses a lot of symbols used in set notation, so if you are reading the text to learn specific postulates and theorems you may have to look somewhere else for the definition of the symbols. They do not have the definitions anywhere in the text. They also utilize some algebra without explanation. The seller that provided this book did a great job. It was in great condition and arrived in the time frame promised.

Everything is fine with this book, although it would be better if it was hard cover. But everything is explained in a (usually) understandable manner. There are a few tricky ones, but Venema covers everything well.

Amazon was very prompt in getting me my book and was very generous when it is due back. used to only rent from chegg but switching now.

I didnt really care for this book or for the class I took that required this book. I guess if you are into geometry like that its great but for a college junior who is just trying to graduate its just another book.
