I use it to see the temperature of the transmission oil but as for the transmittance I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or it’s just not accurate. Brand new mopar oil shows 100% every time. Valvorine oil only shows 60% brand new. The oil in my car is variable. Sometimes 20 sometimes 60 or 50. It’s just not consistent

This tester helped me realize I need a transmission fluid change. I don't have similar products to test with, but I believe this is accurate, as it showed bad transmittance before a change (several tests), and good transmittance after a change.I do wish the product included the required AAA batteries, or was more obvious in stating the fact that they're not included, but do keep in mind, you'll need 4 AAA batteries to use it.Overall, this is a great product to have for your garage at a good price. The last thing I'd want to have fail on me is a transmission.

I am always adding new tools to my garage, so I was excited to get this new transmission fluid tester. This tester seems like it will be simple to operate. Simply insert the probe and adjust the settings. The decent sized LCD display makes it easy to see the readings. This tester can be used on all transmissions, manual, auto and CVT. It uses 4 AAA batteries and has auto shut off if you forget to turn it off.
