You can get tests by post from the NHS.. if you live in an area where the local commissioners have paid for the service.If you're not in one of those areas, this is an effective way to test for something that can be fatal if left untreated.It's a simple test: you prick your finger with one part, put a drop of blood into a bit of the test strip and add some reagent. A few minutes later, the number and locations a couple of lines say whether it's been detected or not.This one is highly accurate - the reported comparison with the definitive test had only one in two hundred infections being missed and, almost as important, zero false positives.
