Very handy device for casting from a drive using your Apple device.
Was looking for a way to cast files from a flash drive to TV using my apple device. This gadget did the trick nicely. Interface was easy. Requires a phone charger.

Useful for connecting hard drive to an older iPad.
This works great to connect an external hard drive to my iPad with the Lightning port. The hard drive shows up in the Files App. It needs to be used with a powered USB hub as the iPad cannot power the drive.

This adapter is a lifesaver! It’s truly plug-and-play, making transferring 4K videos and photos to my iPhone incredibly fast. The added charging port is a genius touch, so I never run out of battery while using my MIDI keyboard or flash drive. Excellent quality and highly recommended for creators!

Doesn’t Charge and Causes Audio Noise
The adapter’s power port is Lightning, not USB-C, and it does not charge the device even with a 20W original charger. It also causes speaker noise when using the USB port with a MIDI instrument like a piano.

Solid construction • Works Great • Lightning power connection
Works as expected. Please note that the smaller port is to supply power to the phone/accessory and is a LIGHTINING connector. The larger port is a USB Type A which connects to a camera or other accessory. I'm using it to connect to a RODE AI-1 microphone interface. It's doing a fantastic job of connecting the mic for use in promotional videos to place on instagram/facebook.
