Awesome Valve
This scanner features bidirectional control, allowing for active testing of components, which is essential for troubleshooting various systems. The touchscreen interface makes navigation simple, and it provides comprehensive diagnostics across multiple vehicle makes, including ECU coding and reset functions. I used it to reprogram the VIN into the ABS module of a scrapped Town and Country, and it also clearly displays the status of each system in a topological view. Overall, this diagnostic tool offers excellent value for money, making it an ideal choice for DIY enthusiasts and hobbyist mechanics. If you're looking for a reliable tool for various automotive diagnostics, the Launch 431 v+ is definitely worth considering.

The Launch X431 PRO V+: The Only Scanner My Shop Needs
As a professional technician, efficiency and comprehensive coverage are non-negotiable. The Launch X431 PRO V+ doesn't just meet expectations—it completely shatters them. This tool is, without a doubt, the best investment I've made in shop equipment this year, instantly earning this 5-star rating. The sheer diagnostic speed of this tablet is incredible. What used to be a multi-minute process of scanning all the car's multiple computers is now done in mere seconds, significantly cutting down on billable time and increasing throughput. The game-changing Topology Mapping feature provides an instant, visual overview of the vehicle's network architecture, clearly showing which ECUs are online, which are faulty, and what network they reside on. This capability drastically simplifies and accelerates complex diagnosis. Beyond raw performance, the hardware is highly practical. The outstanding battery life means I can easily get through a full day's worth of troubleshooting without being tied to a charging cable. Another small but absolutely brilliant feature is the VCI warning notification. This simple pop-up reminder ensures I never drive off or pack up without unplugging the diagnostic VCI from the customer's car, saving me from potential loss—a huge piece of mind feature for any busy technician. If you are serious about diagnostics and need a tool that delivers dealership-level power and functionality, the Launch X431 PRO V+ is the gold standard. Highly, highly recommended.

Professional scan tool
I have be using this scanner for couple days now, it really impressed me. It had made some complicated jobs works great! Compare my old scanner, I’ve been stuck guessing malfunction and the software. With this scanner, I run some difficult jobs and works perfectly. I like its software. The guidance guide my step by step to set up. Easy understanding. I used the active test to cycle the parking break motors without touching the switch. Touch screen was responsive and I can save reports easy and sent to my client. And it has 5 year warranty worth the value of money. If you have small shop and looking for the scanner, it will be the best one.

Great scanner for the money!
This is an incredible tool for any size shop. Are there better? Yes. But for this price you'd be hard-pressed to find one. It does what my shops 6k scanner does and even more with the key programming. I was lucky enough to catch it on sale. The software is easy to use and very responsive tablet. It gives a lot of information on vehicle performance. You can print or email the diagnostic report. Plus it comes with 2 free years. All in all in my opinion was a great purchase! I will definitely recommend this scan tool too others.

Do Not Buy from this Seller. SCAM ALERT!
This is such a SCAM! The Activation code was no good! It kept telling me the "product password ( Activation code) is empty" and would not let me register it! Which left the device useless. Tried customer service but kept getting the same person and he kept running me around in circles saying he had never heard of that issue before and that he was sending it to a different team, but I never heard from anyone but him.

Great scan tool for the price
I purchased this scan tool for use at work. The size is great making details easy to read. The topology feature makes communication diagnosis a breeze by scanning all modules that are present. Functionality and versatility are above par with different testing options and protocols. The battery life seems to be sufficient enough. The travel case makes organization and protection simple and effective. Only two things I wish this tool had would be some kind of case to protect the plastic and a kickstand. Other than that its been a great addition to my diag box and the vast manufacturers available on it make it easy to work on virtually anything.

This is a great scan tool!
It has been working great and it has diagnosed all cars efficiently that I have worked on. I am enjoying all the features and I am not disappointed. I will give a further update once I have used more of the features.

Easy to use.
I was finally able to use this scanner today on a couple of my vehicles. The first one was a 1998 Chevrolet K3500 truck with the 7.4L engine. I scanned the vehicle and did find one code in the PCM. A P0175 which is a rich condition on bank 2. I have seen this same code on two other scanners I own so I was expecting to find it stored using this scanner. The SES light never comes on for this code for some reason. I did look at some live data and this scanner offers a vast variety of live data PIDS. I did find that I had some misfires on cylinder 4 at idle which went away as I gave the engine more rpms. Long term fuel trims were around -7% on both banks at the time I looked at it. The second vehicle I hooked it up to was my 1992 Chevy Cavalier. I wanted to see if it would work with an OBD 1 car. This scanner came with a variety of OBD 1 connectors. It did take me a little while to figure out that I needed a power adapter to power up the VCI so it could communicate with the scanner. Luckily the adapter was included in the kit and I was able to power up the VCI. Unfortunately, the scanner was not able to work with my year car. It did recognize the car after I manually put in the VIN # but the scanner only went back to 1996 for data purposes which is not even OBD 1. I'm not sure what the issue is. The scanner said it was not compatible with my vehicle. Overall it's a very nice scanner with a lot of features. It updates very quickly with our internet. The few negatives that I have found were that on the 1998 truck the initial scan was kind of slow. I'm not sure if that was because the age of the vehicle or what. Every function after that was pretty quick. The other negative of course was the inability for it to work on my OBD 1 vehicle even though it comes with the adapters and the advertisement says it works for OBD 1 vehicles. I get that most people no longer have or work on OBD 1 vehicles so it's probably not a priority for this to work. The last negative was that the advertisement says it has 41+ maintenance features but my scanner only has 37. Maybe in future updates the other ones will be added. Overall, I'm happy with this scanner and look forward to using it on some newer vehicles.
