* When I first opened these they didn't work AT ALL. *I made sure the little plastic tab thingy by the batteries was removed & I even put in my own batteries, but it didn't matter what I did... nothing worked.I put them aside for a few days in faint sunlight & after a day or two I tried them again & they mysteriously started working!I know what you're thinking... that I didn't charge the panels the first time, right? lol.Well, remember I tried with batteries in them too & they still didn't work, so I'm not sure why they all of a sudden started, but I'm thrilled that they did.If you happen to have the same problem, don't panic.Don't return them right away, just try again after a day or two in the sun and see if that works.Now, to the review...They look like swirling fireflies on a warm summer night! 😊These gorgeous twinkly lights obviously don't move like fireflies, but because of the way they're spaced apart, they resemble fireflies flying in a mason jar (they're so reminiscent of my childhood).The solar panels work great and I've had these lined up on the walkway in front of my house for almost 2 months now with NO batteries in them and practically no sunlight (we've had RECORD BREAKING rain for the past 2 months in the DC area) and they're still going strong, I'm shocked.Reminder: you're only buying the lids and the lights attached to the lids, the jars themselves are NOT included!If you're looking for the jars too, I bought these chic/sweet mason jars with chalk labels & they are a perfect match.https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Vintage-Chalkboard-Weddings-California/dp/B06ZXWGY9K/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=yo_pop_d_yo_pop_d_pd_t2** I personally depend on reading reviews to help me determine whether I should buy a product or not, so if you've found this review helpful please click the helpful button below my post so that I can pay it forward & help others too! 😊

I bought these on a whim to fill in my garden. Saw the same thing at a local store for $4.99 each. Got them home and then bought one pint Mason Jars for $1.00 each. Charged them all day yesterday in the Sun. Last night, when it got dark, they all lit up. I was thrilled because they looked so pretty!!!! I have two raised gardens in the front of my house. These are perfect and I will definitely be ordering more!! I did take a picture but, it certainly didn't do them justice so I won't post it

I gave this a one star review because only one worked, but my daughter just told me that there is an on/off switch on this kind of set and my grands just now discovered it. They work great.

I love the way they look, and they got rained on several times (jars half full of water, even) but continued to work until the rechargable batteries corroded, so we reordered, but I think you could replace the batteries and they'd work again. These are my favorite outdoor lights

These work really well. Very bright and cheery super easy to install on jelly jars and small mouth mason jars. They are LIDS ONLY. You will need to supply jars and hangers. I didn't realize I had accidentally ordered the colorful flickering version so I did return for the steady on instead. The flickering was pretty, but reminded me too much of a Christmas celebration. I wanted them in the yard for a more quiet relaxing. atmosphere. I can think of a million crafty little ideas for these though and they would be perfect for wedding table decorations as well.

Very cute little lights that fit exactly into some old jelly jars that I already had. There's an on/off switch plus the solar cell. And they stay lit up all night long. Quick ship, arrived in excellent condition.

When these were new, they were FUN and twinkled nicely. I found that repeatedly needing to take cover off & on to turn lights on & off, may have caused strain on the wires. Also, the battery did not seem to last very long, even with good batteries. I will NOT buy more of these! Instead, I buy glow-n-dark stones, in lots of colors, and put in my jars.They renew well in the Sun or lamp light! These I give out for gifts that last a long time!!

Just in case you thought you received mason jars with this product - be warned these are only the lids!

Bought this for a teenage girl to make some lights for the garden. She was very happy to receive these. We had to go jar hunting at the local car boot to get some nice old school jars and they screw on just fine. We've lined the garden path. They are great. The backup battery is a brilliant idea. Very good. Work well.

How do review something that you hate but it's not really the products fault. " Fairy Firefly Lights (Colorful Flicker)whilst they are very colourful I can't help but feel they undersold the "flicker" bit...it's like 6 jars of raging 80's disco lights....fast, bright and furious. One neighbour hates them the other absolutely loves them....me I'm on the fence !!

Was looking forward to these arriving...... disappointed as they don't come with the jars or loops to hang them!After reading again the description, it does state jar tops but this is not at all clear, so I'm pretty miffed.

These add on light lids are fabulous, you just charge them up in the light and when night falls you will have lovely twinkly lights outside. And you can leave them outside to come on automatically and they won't spoil, whatever the weather.
