Make a plan for the flakes
The countertops of this rental property were previously painted black and over the years the tenant had chipped them here and there and filled the spots in with a Sharpie, so they needed some attention. I thought this looked like it would camouflage the chips, as well as the uneven previous paint job, and I was right. It was relatively simple to do, though tape really well around the sink. Even with stainless, it was a chore to remove the paint that did make it on there. I would also recommend removing the faucet if you can, because getting around that in that tiny space behind it was difficult. The most difficult part was getting the flakes onto the vertical surfaces such as that front edges and backsplash. I found a thin piece of cardboard from a package of curtains and ended up sprinkling the flakes onto that and them flicking the cardboard from underneath so they just kind of popped on there. Some places I just blew them off gently. I wasn't concerned with waste because I think there were plenty of flakes. I think it really came out nice and was pleased with the end result.

Super easy, great results
I wanted to brighten up my kitchen, and I choose the linen color. I was really conflicted about this due to mixed reviews. First two coats went on nicely and it was fun adding the Flecks. I did get worried when applying the sealant because it was super streaky but dried to a nice gloss. I didn't sand down too hard, I really love the texture it gives. I'm not a big cook so I'm not too worried about damaging it. It does show water drops but dries clear. The sealant reports it can be reapplied as needed. The only negative was the roller brush included was shedding after the second coat.

Nice DIY paint
Used this on China cabinet and dining room table. It worked out pretty damn good for no sanding. Still had a couple blemishes. Over all it did make the look a lot fresher. Plus this stuff works well if you use the right amount on desired furniture. Also money value was good for the work done using it.

Don't buy this paint
The paint did go on smoothly and dried quickly. I’m not sure about durability because it hasn’t been applied long enough to know. If we had received the correct color, I would say it was worth the cost but we need to repaint our countertops. We purchased two sets of sand-colored countertop makeover kits in late October of this year. After we applied the paint and sealant, we realized our countertops weren’t sand color, they appear to be off-white. I contacted the company several times since the purchase, and the only offer they have made to make this right was to send us 1 container of the sand-colored paint, no sealant and no flecks. We purchased two kits and I responded to their email informing them that we needed two complete countertop kits in sand color to redo our countertops. Since I sent my email I haven’t heard from them again. Based on our experience I cannot recommend this product and I have email proof they do not provide any customer support.

Quick face lift
This is a good product to use when you want to give your countertops a facelift and can't afford new ones. It is easy to use and the step by step directions are clear. There are some drawbacks though. Roller/brush marks can be see and since the paint dries quickly, you cannot try to smooth out the marks. If you tape anything off, be sure the tape is no where the paint will be because if thee is pain on the tape, when the paint dries, it pulls the paint off the countertop as well. Lastly, the speckles in the bottle are too large to fit through the holes in the lid. If you shake the bottle too hard and too much comes out, it is not easy to spread out the speckles, so you end up with a clump or group of speckles in one spot. Overall, my bathroom counter looks good and as long as you don't look too closely at the imperfections and the paint gives the bathroom a fresh look for a lot less money.

Highly recommend
I love this product it worked perfect on the counter in my bathroom I did not use the flakes on it but later used them on another project and it was very easy. I used a few coats of the paint just to make sure it covered enough to hold up over time. So far so good.

Beautiful Result with Creative Enhancement
Good product. Uncertain how it will last. We added our own variegating as my husband is an artist, and matched the adjacent bathroom ceiling to it. Would not use the flakes that come with it as that is a dated look.

Paint itself is ok but topcoat is superior!
I purchased this as “like new” but the containers were opened and the black paint was almost empty and the topcoat was used. None of the accessories were in the box either. I got refunded but was told to keep it so I used the little bit of black paint on an outside stool/ side table. The stool is polypropylene and shouldn’t really be painted but it held the paint. The best part is the topcoat by far though. I used it on the stool and the speckles on the top of the stool. I also used the topcoat for other projects due to the adhesion on all surfaces. The topcoat adheres to a lot of paints leaves a very smooth surface.

You think that the paint and speckles won't be enough, but there is heaps to do the whole kitchen if need be. We just did the benchtop and it turned out amazing. Hardly any smell so the house didn't smell like paint. It dried quickly and was just super easy to understand instructions. So happy with final result I had to write my first review on amazon to share the good news.

The product I got was clumpy even after shaking and stirring. The brush and roller it came with is complete garbage. Save your money, don't buy the kit. Just buy the paint on its own and go invest in a better quality brush and roller. The roller didn't role so I only had the brush to use and it left brush marks. The flakes are ugly and actually made the end product look dated, I would recommend not using the flakes. The paint itself had some trouble sticking to a bathroom laminate countertop. Really disappointed in this product. The only good thing is the color is true to the picture. Not much else worked out. I think in another year I'll have to redo the countertop again but using proper methods. If I could redo this whole thing, I would have just lightly sanded the surface not just used degreaser.

I’m happy with the colour but the flecks didn’t sand down well. You can feel them through the sealer.

Was good at first but within a couple Of weeks started to bleed through stain and chip
