A fantastic story which has been loved by all the children I've read it to (from ages 4 to 11), As a supply teacher it has also been a good starting point for 'off the cuff' lessons. Also buy Dear Santa if you haven't already - hilarious.

Love this book! I’m using it to develop writing with my year 2 class in September.

I this is the American version and has words such as recess. The english version is "Dear Miss". Bought new. Used in school. children liked it. Amusing.

A great book- that shows how a little boy creates adventures to get out of school... but there's a good little twist at the end. The pages open up length ways and shows each part as a letter and there's even a telegram! I love this book!

My Grandaughters teacher had been reading this book to the class she said she would like it so I ordered it to be sent direct to her. She was very excited when her parcel arrived and she loves the book. She reads it to anyone who will listen and also likes having it read to her. She is 6

I used this book with a P1-3 class to get us started with writing letters. The class found it absolutely hilarious and loved guessing what the next excuse was going to be. It's a beautifully illustrated, fun and creative book. It's a thumbs up from us!

Awesome story and illustrations but it was bent when it arrived… I’m glad I didn’t purchase this as a gift for someone as it would’ve been embarrassing. Needs to be packaged in cardboard not a bag!
