BOSCAM K4 Backup Camera Kit, 170° Waterproof Back Up Car Camera with 4.3″LCD Rearview Mirror Monitor

I installed the backup camera in a 2010 Subaru Outback. The installation was very easy and straightforward. There is plenty of wire provided so you don't need about running short. The image quality of the camera is fantastic and the guide lines make it super easy to back up straight. The provided mirror easily fits over the OEM mirror with two rubber straps. The mirror is an exact replica of the factory mirror. To align the camera properly so the guide lines line up is an easy process. Park your car next to a curb and make sure you are parked straight. Adjust the camera up or down so the guide lines line up with the curb. That's it, your're done!

The picture quality is good, except in very low light - then it's grainy and breaks up. Installation was quick. I'm not a huge fan of the 2-way tape to adhere the camera to the license plate, but it seems secure.

We put this on our Cat Skidsteer because my husband could not see the fence all the time when backing up and we would end up replacing posts a lot. Now since we bought the camera no problem with not seeing the fence.

I am impressed with this camera, just ordered a few more for my vehicle fleet. Good quality, looks nice, and most importantly, the camera is so small you can't even see if mounted above my plate. Looks better than the stock backup cams on these Pilots. I wired mine up differently, running it through a steady 12v power source to a switch that I can turn it on/off when wanted, instead of wiring into the reverse lights. That way I can check in on trailers/cargo on the road if needed. I stuck the switch to the windshield as shown for easy access. This thing has been a major help for parallel parking and coupling with trailers, well worth the cost and install!

I went with the wired K4 by BOSCAM because I wanted the backup light to power the camera. Installation took around two hours. Most of the time was tucking the wire inside of the door seals and panels. The only portion of the wire that is visible is just above the mirror. For my car I had to lengthen the hole on the camera bracket in order for it to sit low enough on the license plate holder for the camera to swivel. The wiretaps provided ensured that no cutting was necessary. The rear view mirror strapped to the old one making that portion of the install very easy.

Works well on my Toyota T100 - but needed to purchase the 6.5 foot extension.

im not crazy about brightness on the screen, during the day its so bright it washes the picture monitor
