Works great with Xbox Series S/X controllers once you're able to get it working.
I had a very difficult time syncing this device to my Xbox Series S/X controller via Bluetooth, it would be recognized and work fine via USB, but it would not sync up no matter what I did. I had no issues connecting my Xbox One controller, DS4 or WiiU Pro Controller via Bluetooth.I am using this with a standard Nintendo switch, while docked. I set the MAGIC-NS 2 to the Purple LED mode, and adjusted my Switch to use a wired Pro controller, just as the instructions recommended. I would turn on the Series S/X controller, press the sync button on the controller and NS 2 and they would never link up even a few inches away. The NS 2 would stop blinking rapidly and go back to the standard pattern, and the Series S/X controller would continue flashing but at what I'd describe as a medium rate, not rapid like it is after you press the sync button initially, but not at slow as it is when it gives up entirely. I tried unplugging and reconnecting the adapter, and removing the batteries in the controller several times, no change. I reset the Series S/X controller several times too (hold down the sync button for 20+ seconds, it will vibrate to indicate it will reset).I contacted support and they responded within a few hours with a suggestion to reboot my switch a few times. That did not resolve the issue, however, it led me to discover what the issue was. A smart TV in the other room (Sony Bravia x850C, Android TV 8.0) was asking if I'd like to pair the controller, since I was in the other room, I did not dismiss that request and it might have been hanging on to that Bluetooth connection until the controller would time out and eventually went to sleep.I turned off the Bluetooth with my IR remote and tried to connect via Bluetooth again, and it immediately connected and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I did notice on several windows 10/11 machines after I had reset the controller, they would pop up a notification to pair to the new controller as well, but that would be dismissed after a few seconds if I did not dismiss them myself. During my initial attempts to sync, I had turned off Bluetooth on those machines and it did not make a difference. So, if you are having similar issues connecting a Series S/X controller to the MAGIC-NS 2 adapter for use with a Nintendo Switch this is what I recommend:1. Set MAGIC-NS 2 to Switch Pro Mode (Purple LED by holding down the button for 3-5 seconds to cycle through the modes).2. Reset your Series S/X controller by holding down the reset button for 20+ seconds until it vibrates.3. Disable or turn off any Bluetooth device within range of the controller. If you live close, or share a wall with your neighbors, I would not dismiss the possibility that your controller could be trying to connect to one of their devices.3a. If you think that might be the case, I'd try to sync the controller outside or in a car, where the Bluetooth range to those devices would be impaired enough to not interfere. Once you're out of range, plug the MAGIC-NS 2 into the switch with the included USB-C to USB-A adapter plugged directly into the switch USB-C port on the bottom, and attempt the sync process again. (turn on the Series S/X controller, hold the sync button until it starts blinking rapidly, then press the button on the MAGIC-NS 2). You only need to get them synced once, unless you reset the Series S/X controller, they will be paired and have no issues connecting near those other devices once they are linked together.4. ProfitThe sync process and modes are well documented in their instructions, I figured I'd add it here just in case. What to expect once they are synced:You cannot wake the switch by turning on the controller, at least I've not been able to do that, with any of the other controllers either. When docked, turn the switch on by pressing the power button, then press the Xbox button to wake the controller. It the Xbox LED will light up as if it's paired, but there will not be any inputs registered to the console for a few seconds. The controller will vibrate when it is fully connected and ready to go. I think this is what the special note in the manual for the Elite 2 controller is referring to, I had interpreted the note to be what to expect when pairing.I've got several hours on Pokemon Arceus with my Series S/X controller and it's so much better than using the Joy Cons. Metroid Dread is great with this controller too. The Dead Zone, vibration level adjust and button remap work just as intended. I have the adapter installed inside the dock and am about 15 ft away with the switch screen facing me, so the NS 2 is behind the switch and facing away from me into a wall. I've had the Joy Cons drop connection or have delayed reactions at this distance and I've not had any hiccups from the NS 2 at this distance with the Series S/X controller.Overall I am very happy with this product and service so far. The support team was very prompt with their response to me about the issue and happy to help me troubleshoot it, even though it ended up being an issue with the controller and another device.I hope this info helps someone get set up and gaming faster instead of banging their head against a wall trying to get it to work.

You Need This - Update 12/30/2024: Revert Firmware Update on Your Xbox Controller!
---Update:---My Magic-NS adapter has been working perfectly for nearly 4 years, but I recently ran into an issue and am updating to help others. I've been using the same Xbox One S controller with the Magic-NS adapter on my Switch since my original review without ever updating the firmware on either. I got an Xbox Elite Series 2 for Christmas and had difficulties switching my new controller to the Magic-NS adapter via bluetooth. This is how I got it to work:1. The Xbox One S controller that I had been using wirelessly with the adapter had become bugged. The controller would not disconnect from the adapter and would also not reset. In order to solve this, I connected my Xbox One S controller to my PC via USB cable and updated the firmware on the controller. This caused the controller to change from classic Bluetooth to BLE, which effectively disconnected the controller from the adapter.2. I updated my Magic-NS adapter to the latest version by connecting it to my PC and following the instructions that it came with.3. I connected my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller to my PC via USB cable and reverted the firmware so that it uses classic Bluetooth instead of BLE. I then plugged the Magic-NS adapter back into my Switch dock, made sure it was on the purple setting and attempted to sync the controller wirelessly once again and was successful. It's important to note that it takes much longer for the Elite Series 2 controller to wirelessly connect to the Magic-NS adapter than the One S controller. Once synced, it stays that way. It's been working flawlessly ever since!---Original Review---Boy, am I glad I bought this! After purchasing a Switch at the beginning of the year, I was checking out all of the great accessories that are available and wanted to get a controller to use for when I have it docked instead of always having to use the joycons. I quickly learned that many controllers for the Switch run rampant with problems as well as being ridiculously overpriced (looking at you, Switch Pro Controller). While I wouldn't mind spending money on something of good quality, I just can't purchase something that so many consumers report stopped working right after the return window / warranty runs out. So I decided to have a look at some adapters. I have many Xbox controllers because I own a 360, One S and Series X. I've always preferred the design of an Xbox controller over anything else and thought it would be ideal to be able to use one with my Switch.Upon receiving my product, I was pleased to find that I didn't need to connect it to my pc for any updates for it to work properly. I'm currently using my Xbox One S controller and all I had to do was put the adapter on the purple setting and enable Switch Pro mode on the console. The adapter fits perfectly in the back of the Switch's dock and after about 5 months of using it, it has never disconnected or given me any issues. I like that I can adjust the vibration on the controller to make it stronger or weaker depending on what game I'm playing. There are a few things that I think would improve this product:1.) Turning on the Xbox controller doesn't take the Switch out of sleep mode like it does with the console it's intended for. You have to wake the Switch up via the home button on the joycon.2.) After putting the Switch to sleep, the controller stays on. I remove the battery pack to turn it off instead of waiting forever for it to eventually go to sleep thus unnecessarily draining the charge on the battery pack.3.) I have the button mapping for the controller set to reflect how an Xbox controller should work. While it does save my preset, I have to go into the settings and select it each time I use the controller because it defaults to Nintendo's settings.Regardless of the improvements I feel would make the adapter better, it's important to remember that controllers for other consoles have never been intended to work on a Switch; so the fact that the adapter does just that makes this a genius hack and excellent accessory for the Switch. Despite the minor inconveniences I mentioned, I'm grateful to have found this product and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to waste money on the low quality, overpriced controllers that Nintendo licenses.

Stadia Controller on PS3
In a climate where Controllers will easily run you upwards of $50 and aftermarket pro controllers are rarely listed sub $150, this was a welcomed and refreshing fix to my issue.I currently own the beautiful relic that is a Google Stadia controller and refused to throw it away after Stadia services were sunset - however, I struggled to repurpose my controller so that I could still enjoy its functionality, that was until I discovered this device. I will preface in saying that other reviews are correct, if used for the PS3 it will not allow for a home button function but I work around that with a second controller on standby. Setup is simple after updating, zero latency, consistent connection, and an adapter for USB-C is included for PC adaptions. For the value and price, I must recommend.
