Certainly Unsweetened
This has got to be one of the most "natural" products I've ever seen/tasted. Raspberries feel like a very romanticized berry, probably because people think about them in sugary pies, but in actuality they're incredibly tart, and that's exactly what this is. I would never ever recommend getting this powder if you're hoping to add some sweet raspberry flavor, but if you're hoping for a flavor that is both bold and natural, this is the powder for you. I mixed this into some waffle mix to make raspberry waffles so I could top them with chocolate, and let's say they didn't last long. One of the other good things about the flavor being so concentrated/strong is that you don't need a lot of this powder to get the effect, so even though 2oz is a relatively small size, its probably still going to be 10-15 servings worth. If you understand what it is you're getting here, I do think this is a 5/5, just remember what raspberries "actually" taste like, not what you hope they taste like.

There are so many things you can do with this powder!
I have used this raspberry freeze-dried powder for a couple of things related to making chocolate bonbons.First, you can use the raspberry powder to flavor the ganache that will fill the bonbons. It goes particularly well with dark chocolate and white chocolate ganache.Second, I used the powder to color food grade cocoa butter. I just melted the cocoa butter gently until it was totally melted, then added raspberry powder to the melted cocoa butter through a sieve until I achieved the color I wanted. It does add a bit of flavor, too, so make sure it doesn't clash with any other flavors you might be using. VERY pretty as a first layer for bonbon shells!Great product and a good value![Wild Harvested Raspberry Freeze-Dried Powder – 2 Oz – Natural Raspberry Powder, No added sugar, No GMOs B0CV45HLJM]

Nice Raspberry Smell & Taste
This Russian raspberry powder adds a nice flavor to whatever you decide to add it. I tried a teaspoonful in a glass of water, and it mixed well and also gave a vibrant pinkish hue without the use of colorants. My only issue with this product is there is no recommended serving size. That would help if you want to use this in a recipe. Since this bag contains only 2 ounces, using too much at one time could deplete this bag rather quickly.

Nutrition on my pantry shelf
I hate shopping but still want the nutritional benefits of berries. Of course I buy frozen but this looked very interesting. I had/have thoughts of many things I can do with this. One thing I found immediately is that the flavor is overwhelmed if you put it in cottage cheese. My raspberry flavored cottage cheese tasted like cottage cheese mostly. It was better in tea. I think it needs milder flavored foods to let the flavor out. In any case I could tell it's real whole ground raspberries because there is a tiny bit of grittiness from the seeds. Maybe some wouldn't like that but it reassured me that I am getting the full nutritional benefits.

As expected!
As a Chef, I am always on the lookout for interesting and useful pantry items. I grabbed this raspberry powder because I love fruit powders in applications where you want the flavor but not the added moisture from fresh fruit. I made a small batch of icing to test this out and the flavor is sharp (which is fine when paired with sweet icing) and the color muted out to the expected pink color. From my stand point, I think this is a well done product. I would consider getting this again.

Well-packaged but raspberries not very ripe/sweet
I don't have a doubt these are wild raspberries with no added sugar—this powder was pretty bitter/tart. It tasted like unripe raspberries and wasn't that sweet berry flavor I associate with fresh raspberries (or even the plain taste of frozen raspberries). I added it to fresh raspberries in a recipe, but I don't feel it made much of a difference. However, the packaging was well-sealed, so I'll give them that.
