Incl Little Bullet / Land Of Oz / Schmoo / Don't Panic... a Definitive Classic Album Of 90's House Music. Spooky's 'Gargantuan' Is Re-Issued From Its Debut Release In 1991, Featuring Such Classics As 'Little Bullet (Part 1 & 2)', 'Schmoo', 'Let Go', And More.. Review: A sonic Sgt. Peppers for the nineties - Spooky were just one of a catalogue of artists who emerged from William Orbit's Guerila label in the early nineties, alongside React to Rythm, D,O,P, and Supereal, all producing progressive dance music which redefined the boundaries of electronica. And of all thes artists, Duncan Forbes and Charlie May were the ones who, as Spooky, were the ones who had taken the largest genius pill. Gargantuan was suitably named, The classics 'Land of Oz' and 'Schmoo' to the funky, breathy 'Something's got to Give' may have rocked the clubs but Spooky were also working with material which was from an altogether ethereal world. 'Aqualung' and the trippy 'Let Go' will take you to a trance-like state you'll be sorry to come out of while elsewhere on the album you can experience the manic monkey funk of 'Don't Panic'. But the highpoint is the sublime 'Little Bullet Part 1', a slice of sonic serenity which will change the way you listen to electronic music forever. With its sweeping layers of pure pleasure and spine-tingling melody, the only tracks that have ever come close to the ecstasy-rush of 'Little Bullet' are Spooky's own remix of William Orbit's 'Water from a Vine Leaf' and their version of 'Persuasion' with Billie Ray Martin, both also sadly difficult to obtain. In summary, eclectic, intelligent, ground-breaking, genre-busting and beautiful, this is the essential album of the nineties, and without doubt the best album in my huge CD collection. When Spooky re-released Gargantuan in the latter nineties on their own Generic label I bought 3 CD copies to replace my worn out vinyl (I still include at least one Spooky track in my DJ set) just in case I ever lost, broke or wore it out. And you know what? I still don't think I bought enough copies. Since Gargantuan, Spooky produced 'Found Sound', an equally mindblowing, though not as accessible album. And after what appears to be various solo projects, they're back releasing stuff again. Their latest track, 'Belong' came out in the last few months so we may yet see Spooky achieve the recognition and status as electronic artists that they well deserve and is long overdue. Spooky come back - we need you! Review: Four Stars - Classic dance album

Love it!
After going through my cd collection I was horrified to realise I had lost one of my favourite cds of all, so when I spotted it on Amazon I just had to buy it. Defintely one of the best trance tingling cds ever! I agree it is a must buy!!!

Spacious Mind - 'Cosmic Minds At Play' (Garageland) 4 1/2 stars
Very good 1993 debut CD from these Swedish space rockers, known as Spacious Mind. This is what is known as mind-bending, thought-altering, life enhancing music that some of US have come to love and in some cases,'live for'. Four lengthy tracks, here that are SURE to keep you wanting more. "To Earth With Love" (23:03), "Sunchild" (14:38), "Dnimehts" (10:12) and the four-part soundscape epic "Seashore Trees". Line-up: Jens Unossom - synthesizers & electronics, Thomas Braanstrom - guitar, whistles & vocals, Henrik Oja - guitar & vocals and David Johansson - drums. Will appeal to fans of Hawkwind, Ozrics, early Pink Floyd, Abunai!, Mr. Quimby's Beard, Mandra Gora Lightshow Society and IEM. An absolute must-have.
