The Level Lock is a fantastic addition to my smart home. It was easy to set up with the app and works seamlessly with HomeKit and Siri Shortcuts. The lock itself is really high quality, secure, and has a super smooth and clever design. It comes with two well-made keys, and installation was straightforward—any minor adjustments were just due to my door, not the lock. What really makes it shine is the automation. I've set it up with a Hue motion sensor so that I barely even have to touch the lock anymore. It unlocks when I walk into the room and works perfectly with geofencing too. Overall, it’s not just a lock—it’s a fully integrated smart solution that makes life easier. Absolutely a five-star product in my book.

This is a really sleek product. It feels high end and well built. It was extremely easy to install which is great because I am not handy. User experience on the app feels almost too simple but after learning everything it’s a solid experience. It works great and helps me leave the keys behind and leaves one less thing for me to remember. The app is great and helps me keep track of everything. Easily connects to Apple HomeKit for easy set up.

I’ve been using the Level Lock Plus (Matter) for a little while now and overall I’m pretty impressed. The design is super clean and low profile, which I love. You’d never guess there’s a smart lock hidden inside, and the matte black looks premium on the door. Setup was mostly straightforward and once it was connected, Apple Home Key has been flawless. Being able to tap my phone or watch to unlock is one of those things you don’t realize you’ll use constantly until you have it. Remote access works well too, and it feels more stable now that everything is on Matter. It’s fast, reliable, and way less bulky compared to the other smart locks I’ve tried. That said, it’s not perfect. The biggest frustration was the onboarding process. It took a couple tries and a few resets to get everything to pair correctly, and the app instructions could definitely be clearer. Battery life is decent so far but I wish Level provided a little more transparency about expected lifespan, especially since it uses a special battery. Also, it’s pricey, and at this price point I expect the install and setup to feel a little more seamless than it did. All that said, once it’s up and running, it’s genuinely a great lock. Super discreet, works exactly how I want it to, and integrates perfectly with the ecosystem I’m already in. Solid 4 stars.

The lock quality is great and it looks nice! It is also easy to install. That said, the Bluetooth, WiFi, and HomeKit integration are so terrible that there was an error every time I tried to connect the lock. I got a few to redo my whole house, but after the first one not able to work remotely, I decided to return all of them. Very risky if you are planning on remote access being 100% - you will lock yourself out. Not sure if I got a dud, but I do not want to be locked out!

Just getting used to it but the installation of the hardware and the apps are more straightforward than I imagined. I enjoy knowing I can look on my phone from anywhere and make sure my door is locked. I appreciate the fobs, the keys, and the options for phone or watch to unlock the door

Slick. Very slick. Easy install if you’re remotely handy. I had to chisel out my existing bolt hole a little to operate smoothly. Other than that, it went right in, works as advertised and looks elegant. I think I’ll add the keypad under my ring doorbell for a bit more flexibility.

unreliable for auto lock/open functions. not sure if it's my Wifi / Alexa integration or what, but I had to turn all that off. I walk up to my 2nd floor condo on exterior stairs and the needing to leave / return to the boundary just didn't work. I started just using it within the Alexa app, but it stops communicating and gets stuck in whatever mode it was in last. I'm back to using my key now and looking for something else. I previously had the August Deadbot and hub - I could never get that to work with iOS and the time I had to work on it, the help desk was offline .. I know smart gadgets need setup and connection is tricky, but these locks are finicky. Worked great when it worked and looks nice. easy to install.
