Lock Pro Rechargable Battery Pack

Great idea to provide this item that will not result in wastage of batteries. Works fine and last a long time.

I own a SwitchBot Lock Pro, and I hate having to constantly replace the batteries. I don’t like the idea of buying alkaline batteries since they aren’t recyclable. I’ve tried using NiMH rechargeable batteries, but due to voltage issues, I have to charge them much more frequently than alkaline ones. It’s annoying to remember to recharge them all the time, and I even came home once to find the door unlocked because the battery had died — if I remember correctly. This rechargeable battery offers a great solution for my situation. I got it in March, and during six months of use, I’ve only had to charge it two or three times. I hope the battery’s life expectancy holds up well, but more testing is needed to be sure.

This should be included with the SwitchBot Pro lock. Using regular disposable AA batteries means inconsistent and weak power to turn the lock on the door. (In my case, a jimmy proof Segal type lock.) This rechargeable battery has helped the Pro lock function a lot more reliably. Recommended. And also recommend SwitchBot make this included as standard and not optional.

These batteries will last for a year on a charge and can be charged separately so that the lock is always functioning.

Best upgrade you can make to your Lock Pro. Only one side is drained from at a time so once one is dead it auto switches to the other and notifies you via alert that the battery is dying. Couldn't ask for more

Good rechargeable batteries.

Works well generally but has a few flaws. One is that it does not necessarily cover all door deadbolt holes, which can allow a little air through, not a huge problem but something to note. Two, it uses a magnetic reed switch to sense when the door is closed. This only works if the deadbolt is pretty close to the door frame, which I don't think is that common. So it won't be able to sense when the door is closed. Features that depend on that won't work. If you have it integrated into a home automation system and have other ways to sens the door position, you may be able to work around this limitation, but the switchbot app won't know. Third issue is the remote keypad will discolor to a milky white in just a couple of months. Still works fine but not attractive nor a good indication of build quality. 5/15/2025 UPDATE: Switchbot team reached out to me very quickly regarding this review and offered to send a replacement keypad that had been discolored. They tell me it has been redesigned to prevent that in the future. time will tell, but I do respect their assertive nature to correct the shortcoming of the original.

Solved my problem to spend money on alkaline batteries. Just change them in queue and no downtime for lock.

I love my switch bot and this power pack makes it even more reliable. I'm using it now for more than 4 months and one battery is still at 100%, the other at 88%.
