You can use it on flights and there is a minimal lag
I was searching Amazon for a while for a cheaper option of the Air Fly Bluetooth adapter so you can use your own headphones on a flight. After reading many views saying there can be a delay in many models I realised a couple things, the Bluetooth rating of your headphones and adapter need to match to minimise the lag. My Bluetooth headphones are 5.2 so I bought an adapter which was 5.3 (I believe anything over 5.2 would pair well). There is a tiny tiny lag sometimes not even noticeable so I don’t think you need to spend the money on some of the more expense version of this. Just try and match them equally. This device is good, no problems with it and quite straight forward to use.

Just started to use one in the caravan with it connected to the tv and bluetooth speaker for better sound quality.

Fantastic gadget.
Bought this for use with my Nintendo switch console as it doesn't have Bluetooth built in and I couldn't connect it to my Bluetooth earbuds, also use it with my older generation iPod classic that doesn't have Bluetooth either. Nice well made little unit which not only looks good but works perfectly, easy to pair and great battery life. Highly recommend. UPDATE 3 months later, after very little use I had sound issues on the kefg channel, contracted Mohard customer services on 2 occasions for help but got no response, very poor service indeed. I then contacted Amazon customer services who were brilliant and accepted the return and refunded me.

Excellent!
Purchased to use during 11 hour flight so I could us my more comfortable, noise cancelling Bluetooth 4th Gen AirPods. Double tapped case to pair with the device & it worked no problem. Sound was better quality than airline headphones & there was no lagging. Lasted watching 5 films on outbound & inbound flights without needing charging. Would recommend- partner has bought one too!

No you don’t need one
Certainly works but volume is relatively low. In hindsight old tech and not needed. Joining the pile of stuff that I thought I needed.

Brilliant for flying get one now.
I Dis like using ear pods inside ears that planes give you..so bought this with wireless ear pods. Very small n compact..easy to use... Pair it to your phone..thats it done... plug in to aeroplanes sockets to watch there films or listen to there music...it lasted a 8 hour flight with 15% still left..Manchester to punta cana dominica Republic.. I forgot to recharge it for way back..but it didn't matter simply plug into aeroplanes socket and it charged it in 30 mins. Then was able to watch 3 films on 8 hour flight back. I'm only using it for that one basis of flying..brilliant piece of kit well worth the money I've put on the ear pods didn't come with it but there brilliant too
