I have been a loyal user of the standard Jetstream pens for years, but this new "Lite Touch" version (SXN-LS-05) is a noticeable refinement. If you find the standard Jetstream 0.5mm a little too scratchy, this is the fix. The "Lite Touch" Ink Difference: The ink viscosity feels lower than the original. It offers less resistance against the paper, which makes the 0.5mm tip feel closer to a 0.7mm in terms of smoothness, but you still keep that razor-sharp fine line. • No skipping: Even with the fine 0.5mm tip, I haven’t experienced the "railroading" (white lines in the middle of ink strokes) that sometimes happens with other fine ballpoints. • Smear Test: As expected with Jetstream, it dries instantly. I’m left-handed, and I have zero issues with smudging. The "Quiet" Body Design: The barrel has a matte finish that feels grippier than the standard glossy plastic, but the real win is the internal mechanism. The "knock" (clicker) is dampened. It doesn't have that loud, sharp CLICK that echoes in a quiet library or meeting room. It’s a soft, muted thud. There is also less "rattle" in the tip when you write. The Colors: Just a heads up: While this is a "Mix" pack with different colored barrels (Sage, Coral, Blue, etc.), the ink inside is all black. Don't buy this expecting a rainbow of ink colors. Verdict: This is the best 0.5mm ballpoint on the market right now. It fixes the minor tip-rattle of the original Jetstream and writes with zero friction. Perfect for small handwriting or filling out tight forms.

Compared to the Uni-Ball Zento pen, the ink distribution is the opposite of it which in this case, the pen focuses on smaller ink dispersions which create thin strokes with its 0.5mm bevel. The writing isn't rough nor is it overly smooth but it does give you a comfortable feedback as you write your pen strokes. The barrel feels good with the rubber grip and the other half with a polished plastic end that gives comfort. The design is simple yet stands out from the regular pens. At the end of the day, if you're needing a good quality pen that you can use for tight spaces sch as notecards or overpopulated notebook notations, this is the pen you can trust.

These Jetstream Light Touch red pens are outstanding. The ink writes super smoothly with very little pressure, so your hand doesn’t get tired even after long notes or grading. The red is crisp and vibrant, dries quickly, and doesn’t smear—especially helpful on typical notebook paper and printed documents. The 0.7 tip is the perfect balance: clean lines but still bold enough to stand out. The pack of 10 is great value, and every pen has been consistent right out of the box—no skipping or blotting. These pens are really great and write super smoothly. I really enjoy the feeling of them and the ink dries fast. I think it's a great bang for your buck, and my friends like using this a lot too.

These write with ease and I don’t have to put a lot of pressure with writing. Comfortable to hold and also look cute. The ink flow is consistent, doesn’t smear or leak. The thickness is just right at 0.5. The only improvement i would suggest is the ink would have a darker color (although I know that this isn’t a gel pen). Good item to gift as well.

This is a great pen, it does right very thin as you can see in the picture, so just be aware of that which as you know thin writing pens have a tendency to not be as vibrant on the page as thicker pens. But it writes incredibly smoothly and if you're into very thin line pens this is perfect for you

Writes fine, nothing special

Love these! After extensive online research, I bought these pens to use with my Hobinichi Cousin planner. They glide on the pages and no bleed through.

Very smooth writing, and the ink dries down quickly so my hand does not get stained as a left-handed writer. I lent one to my boss during a meeting and he liked it so much he bought some for himself.

Love these. Uni jetstream is the best ink out there HANDS DOWN. Now in this version, they introduced the Lite-Touch which supposely requires less effort to write. I normally write with 0.7 mm but this is my new EDC pens with the 0.5 mm, it doesn't feel that scratchy and writes so smooth. I tend to have smaller handwriting and it is perfect for me. It comes with 5 different colours that have a nice pastel look to it. High quality products with great value, highly recommend.

What is exceptional about this pen? The tip does not move at all when it touches the paper. Solid contact with paper like a fountain pen. I read somewhere that the clicker (knock) system is improved to prevent the tip from wobbling as you write. It sure works well whatever improvement was made!
