Works perfect and found a fault on my car that I never knew about while it was in warranty

Used it on my Dacia Duster Diesel 1.5 Automatic.Came across this tool thanks to Car Scanner app.With cheap ELM327 I couldn't reset my service interval, but this tool did the job and works with numerous OBD2 apps.Connection was stable, didn't had any issues using my android device.I have not tested this tool extensively as it probably offers a lot more than what I used it for given the price and that's it's the latest tool from VGate

This vLinker was super handy as there was an Engine Management light on the dashboard on my Dad's car... so we figured what a great way to test it.As with most cars, when the lights appear on the dashboard, you can never tell what it really means (well maybe apart from the one where it says you have low air in a tyre)... and this handy device breaks it down for you.Installing the device and the app was really easy - and when we selected the vehicle make and model it told us exactly what the problem was - the DPF was giving us the code, and we needed to sort it out.It turned out to be an easy enough thing to sort out, but what this device did do was to save us the money of taking it to a garage who install the same kind of technology only to give the same reason... and then charge a fortune for the fix.My Dad's filter is now cleaned, the fault light has been reset, and the car is back to normal.I would recommend this litle device. It is simple to use and smart at what it does (well it was on this occasion). OK so you may still need to head over to the professionals to get it fixed, but at least you have an idea as to what it is that they'll need to fix for you.

Pros:Really good, paired instantly with the app on my OnePlus mobile. Setup in minutes, very easy.Worked a treat with my Astra-paired with my OnePlus phone in seconds, easy peasy! It works no problem with other cars I've tried either.The fault codes are very clear and easy to understand; it helped me understand in no time why my engine light was on, instead of having to go to a mechanic.I love the app choices available for Android. That is just great, being able to try them out and find the one that really works for you.It works smoothly with popular OBD2 applications, therefore giving me real-time stats for my engine; it even allows me to clear codes directly from my phone. So convenient.It's small enough to be taken in the glove box so that at any instant, I can check up on my car's health.Verdict:I have been really impressed with how the OBD2 Diagnostic Tool worked with my Astra. Such a tool made diagnosing issues or checking the engine light really facile and has saved me much time and money. If you enjoy being on top of your car's health, look no further than this essential tool. Extremely recommended.

Easy to use and help you read the error codes on cars. This saves you having to get a garage to check it as they usually charge for this. At least you can use this, know what's wrong and save time and money int he process. I am not a car person but I found this easy to use and understand!

This device plugs into the OBD2 port on your car and uses Bluetooth to connect with your mobile phone.It doesn't include an app - that tends to be where the cost lies with OBD2 - i.e. the more you pay, the more features you get. Generally you can get simple fault-code readers FOC - I used the app "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" from Google Play which worked perfectly.After plugging in, it did take a while to be picked up by my phone's BT - in fact I nearly gave up, but eventually it appeared in the list - after that I had no further troubles with the connection.NB - the plug-in requires the ignition to be ON to power the device, and to diagnose faults properly the engine should be running.If you're unfamiliar with the way this works, ALL this device does is act as an interface between your phone and the car - WHAT is communicated is all down to the app. It's worth trying out a few different ones to see which you prefer because the features they offer FOC do vary.
