Excellent price and performance
Very impressed with the features and informations provided. I purchased this to diagnose a air bag error from my 2017 Nissan Rogue. It provided updates for my vechicle, then clear displayed the error code with a very clear description as to where the problem was coming from. It also allowed me to clear the error message after fixing it, and later rerunning additional tests. Highly recommend!

LISTING NOT ENTIRELY CORRECT
Although the listing indicates that the BD200 Pro will read the codes on my 2023 vehicle, it will not. This was confirmed by Ancel Support. Apparently the 2023 software for Jeep is peculiar. As the Ancel Support is in China, this took about a week to accomplish. Waste of my time - I hope they correct their listing. If the BD200 Pro had worked as listed, this would have been a 5-star review.

Yesssss. Get this!!
Excellent. I love it. I had an error code that would throw due to a fault with my particular vehicle. Now, I just pull over and pull up the app, clear the code and proceed. No need to get out, plug in the bulky code reader and reset. This is very simple to use.

Look Elsewhere for a Scan Tool
Another cheap scan tool that does not do as said. I have a 2018 Silverado with a Service Air Bag System. I cannot find anywhere in this scan tool software a function for SRS. Support is not there. The Anceltech.com web site says Coming Soon for everything under support.

don't expect much for this price
"I'm here to advise you not to buy this expensive, retarded device. I didn't have any active DTC on either vehicle, so I don't know if it can reset them or not. I didn't see an option anywhere. I've used several devices like this in the past 25 years and this one is probably the most annoying of any I've tried and I'm dating myself when I say the first one was pre USB and used an RS232 cable. I ended up using an IR thermometer on my transmission pan to set my fluid level which is not ideal."

Unintuitive app, no cross app support
I bought this and the echo device from the same company. The echo has a very easy to use and solid app. Not to mention it works with 3rd party apps and is the same price. This one however comes across broken. Scanning my chevy sonic with the echo immediately detected everything for me and had easy access to all the features. The bd200 'pro' had me guessing ecm codes to get into the diagnostic tools(it bring up like 4 different ecm models and only one of them is the correct one. You just have to open it, let it load, realiser there's no options loaded and rinse repeat until you do. It technically works, but make you wish it didnt

As a nonmechanical woman, I just want my car to go when I need it to, so when multiple lights started showing up on my dash, I envisioned expensive mechanic bills and experienced some bad anxiety. This scanner requires an app download to your phone, so you can take your readings from your device and understand the diagnostics, even if you're not mechanical. I discovered what the problem is in my engine and that my battery needs to be replaced which I didn't know, so this device allowed me to save the money on a diagnostic from a mechanic who may or may not be totally honest. This has allowed me to start calling around to compare conversations and estimates. I store this in my car's emergency bag and wonder how I went without one for so long. I think this device is very good value in that it gives a car owner a way to validate what their mechanic is saying, before or after. Buy with confidence!

This ANCEL BD200 Pro OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth has quite a few functions and comes with an exclusive app for iPhone and Android, included in the price. It's Bluetooth wireless and connects easily. The software is simple to use and provides all the basic functionality needed to start diagnosing most issues. I didn't see any advanced tests or diagnostic procedures for ABS, SRS, or transmission. Using this name brand ODB2 dongle alleviates concerns about plugging a badly made no-name ODB2 into your car's computer and causing damage. It works well as a diagnostic scanner, no problems.

I tested this on my Mini Cooper Clubman, and it worked well. I plugged it into the OBD port and opened the app. It connected right away and I was able to run a diagnostic right away. I didn't have any active warning lights on my car, but it detected a pending DTC for a small evap system leak. It was then able to generate a report, and allowed me to share it into a pdf for my records. The main selling point of this product is really the app, as the scanner is really just a bluetooth dongle. The app is quite intuitive, and easy to navigate. Other than showing codes, it also has a lot more functions, from checking performance to speeds. There are a lot of things to play around and explore. But while the diagnostic reports can be viewed offline, the more advanced information is only available to view when the device is connected. Playing around, most information shown is just too difficult for the uninclined to understand. It's probably best to leave those to professionals to analyze and interpret. And that suits me just fine. I just really wanted this to be able to perform simple checks and see if there are any issues with the car. And this tool does that as expected. Being able to use my phone to view the diagnostic directly is just so convenient. Great little tool. Five stars.

This is a great device. Its great to see whats going on with your car and diagnose problems. It has complex detailed information that may require expertise but it also has simple information like the state of your battery or oil. It is a dongle that plugs into your OBD2 port (every car has one) all the information is shown in the app which is available in iOS and Android. It reacts quickly and will show you live feedback when your car is running . This is a great device for the novice and advanced user.

This is a review of the ANCEL BD200 Pro OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth (Enhanced Wireless Code Reader ABS, SRS, Transmission, Airbag, Car Scanner Diagnostic Tool with Battery Test, Check Engine Light - Exclusive App for iPhone & Android) I am using the Android version of the Ancel app. This comes with a little pouch and users manual. I first tried this on a Volvo S60 (OBD2). Once I installed the app and connected the device I was prompted for location permission (to scan Bluetooth) and for my VIN. I tried the diagnostic menu (the most useful entry) and was able to see the 'dash board', 'data stream' and run diagnostics. I then had an "ECU communication error" and it prompted me to download the Volvo extension (after I picked Volvo from the list). With this installed the 'dash board' function went away, but I was able to run diagnostics. The error codes were inconsistent and seemed to come and go at random. Most of the listed functions were not supported. Considering the age of the car (2002), one would have thought that they would have had better results. Maybe VADIS is the only real solution. Note: If I didn't let it load the Volvo extension I got the 'dashboard' & 'datastream' back. There really should be a separate menu entry for this! (May be instead of the flashlight?) On to a newer BMW X5. I had already downloaded the BMW extension and seemed to have some better luck as it could read the VIN and other information right away. The first scan showed no faults, the deep scan bought me to a menu with quick and deep scan options which both showed the same thing. At least this was consistent, unlike the Volvo results above. The fault codes could have had better descriptions. I don't know how useful this would be for a professional, but for my Volvo it's mostly useless. It might be better with North American vehicles, YMMV! Note: I was using the latest Android app and the device reported its firmware was up to date. I'm giving this a 3 of 5.
