Works great if you're a CPAP user
We used to have distilled water delivered in 5 gallon bottles, but when our water cooler was destroyed by Hurricane Ian, we cancelled deliveries for a while. Then we discovered how much more expensive it had gotten, and also realized there was a lot of waste in buying it from the grocery store, so I started shopping home distillers. I looked at many options and the associated reviews, and we decided on the Vivo Home. It was the right decision.I run it for two cycles every 2-2 1/2 weeks and have had absolutely no issues with it. The water gets poured out of the container into heavy duty plastic bottles, which I will be replacing with glass shortly. The water is perfect for our CPAP machines and anything else we might need it for.One criticism I noticed from another user was the narrow opening that the cap on the bottle has. It's a metal cap that sort of resembles the top of a Morton Salt container when it's open. I used that cap once and I agree that you have a little bit of mess. However, leaving the cap off and just making sure you have the spigot lined up has worked great with no mess.I believe it is fairly priced , well designed and solid. I bought the citric acid powder and I clean it after every use. I have only had it a few months, so if I have any issues that reflect on anything I've said here I'll come back and edit the post. But as of right now I'd recommend it to anyone who asked.

Best tasting water you may have ever had!
This has to be one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon! I’ve only had it a little over a week and it’s been busy! This unit will distill 6 liters of water in about 4 1/2 hours with room temp water and about 3 1/2 with hot water. I couldn’t believe the residual “crap” left in the distiller when it completed its cycle! To think I’ve been consuming that stuff almost all of my life. Well not anymore. I saved some pint sized glass jars from some salad dressings because I hate to throw away glass jars containers. Well they are perfect to refill and refrigerate as a substitute plastic bottled water, which is so much better for me. I also purchased some glass quart bottles on Amazon along with a 2 gallon glass water dispenser. So I’m ready to drink and cook with some pure water from here on. I can’t believe the taste difference, especially in my morning coffee. So much better! I have included a few photos to accompany my rating. Don’t hesitate to get one these. You’ll be amazed, plus I’m looking forward to the health benefits!!!

Good, but water container not so much.
Acceptable machine. My only complaint is the water container is nearly impossible to pour water out without water spillage down the front. Out ot 1.6 gallons full, it usually spills about a shot onto the counter when transferring water. Otherwise, its a good machine.

Fan is low and on tone, Quality company.
I am not a fan of white noise, but I can tolerate this machine, the fan is not off note, it’s low and steady and on tone. The machine I got was missing the collection bottle, cap and filter, but VIVO Home refunded my money. I haven’t quite been able to find a collection bottle that fits, and VIVO Home sounds like perhaps they’ve discontinued this model. but I’m happy with my experience with them, and I’m happy with the machine. I am just using my own collecting container for now.I would say—Get it!

Quieter than expected, very pleased
The two main complaint in reviews seem to be it’s too pound and the drip nozzle leaks or is difficult to make not leak. I didn’t find either of these to be an issue. The noise levels are very tolerable, like a small fan, and the drip nozzle works easily, without leaking at all. Also, it appears to be working very fast. It’s a large unit, but not unmanageable. Once broken in, I’ll put it in my garage to run continuously or as needed. I’ll distill six gallons or so, then wait a few days to distill more.

Great for humidifiers
Love it. I use a fancy humidifier that requires distilled water. I got tired of buying gallons from the store, so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store when not in use. I can tell the quality of the water is good too because my air purifiers don't alert me of "bad air."

A Terrific Water Distiller
Having the ViVoHome Water distiller makes keeping my tropical plant collection happy with distilled water in their humidifiers. Previously I had to lug gallon jugs from the store and not only was that time consuming it left me with too many plastic jugs to recycle. Now, I fill the distiller unit, place the water jug in position, plug it in, press the “on” button and walk away. The motor does hum, and it emits heat but I do not find either to be a problem since my unit is placed in my plant/sunroom on a wire plant stand. I wish it was possible to purchase additional ViVoHome water jugs to have a ready source of “refill water” but maybe they will add that to their inventory in the future. Yes it takes over 5 hours for a total refill and mineral residue needs to be cleaned out but the convenience of making my own water makes all of that a minor problem. I have used my unit every day since my 12-’24 purchase and it’s been a great purchase.
