Cool and stylish, can use for driving
These are pretty cool. Where I find a good use for them: driving an older car that doesn't support smartphone connectivity. Many states do not allow headphone use while driving, but these are different. There's nothing in the ear or covering the ear. The sound comes from the arms resting *over* the ear. So, you can always hear outside traffic sounds, even while listening to your Waze instructions. The Meta AI assistant is occasionally useful, but don't expect anything more than surface-level responses; i.e., great for quick tasks, not deep analysis. The video and camera feature is also cool, but I don't use it too much.

Pictures, audio, AI and more...
Works great! Setup was easy. I did not connect it to my facebook because I don't do much social media but it was good to see that this can work just fine independently of facebook. I use it mainly for camera shots, music and the AI feature. I also use it on occassions for presentations as an audio prompter. It works great for that as you're able to play sound through the glasses into your ears without anyone around you hearing or seeing that you're using a prompter. Audio is nice, clear and exactly what I need for both business and casual. One problem I did experience was with the arms of the glasses that goes onto the ear. They have somewhat of a sharp edge to them and will start hurting after about an hour of use, so I resolved this issue by using an arm sleeve which you can get very cheap here on Amazon. I use a prescription with my meta frames. The lab had no problem making the lens and fitting them into the frames.

Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses (Renewed)
I recently purchased the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses (Renewed), and I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first. However, after using them for a few weeks, I’m impressed with their functionality and style. Here’s my detailed review: Design and Build Quality These glasses look and feel like classic Ray-Bans, which is a major plus. The design is sleek, lightweight, and stylish, so you won’t feel like you’re wearing a piece of tech on your face. Despite being a renewed product, the build quality was excellent, with no noticeable signs of wear or damage. They’re durable and sit comfortably on the face for extended periods. Functionality The smart features integrated into the glasses are surprisingly useful: Audio: The built-in speakers provide decent sound quality for calls, music, and podcasts. While it’s not audiophile-grade, it’s clear and works well for casual listening. The open-ear design is great for staying aware of your surroundings. Camera: The dual cameras are discreet and capture decent photos and videos. The quality isn’t on par with a smartphone, but it’s great for quick, hands-free moments or capturing candid shots on the go. Voice Control: The integration with Meta’s assistant makes it easy to control features hands-free, though I found the responsiveness could sometimes lag. App Sync: Syncing with the Meta app was straightforward, allowing for easy sharing of content and customizing settings. Performance Battery life was decent but not exceptional. I got about 5-6 hours of mixed-use before needing to recharge, which is sufficient for casual outings but may not last a full day of heavy use. Pairing with my phone via Bluetooth was seamless, and I didn’t experience any connectivity issues. Pros Stylish design that doesn’t scream “tech gadget.” Hands-free photos and videos are perfect for on-the-go use. Open-ear audio is surprisingly good and keeps you aware of your surroundings. Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. Affordable price point for a renewed product, making it a great entry point for smart glasses. Cons Battery life could be better for more intensive use. Audio quality, while decent, lacks bass depth. The cameras are good but not a replacement for your smartphone. Voice assistant responsiveness could use improvement. Final Thoughts The Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses (Renewed) are a fantastic blend of style and functionality. They’re perfect for anyone who wants to dip their toes into the world of smart glasses without sacrificing aesthetics. While there’s room for improvement in battery life and audio quality, the convenience of hands-free features and the timeless Ray-Ban design make these glasses a great purchase—especially at the renewed price point. Rating: 4/5 Would recommend for casual users looking for stylish smart tech!

These glasses are amazing
We bought these glasses for my daughter who is vision impaired. She is only beginning to scratch the surface of the utility, but they are already her favorite tool to understand better the world around her. I don't know if Meta fully anticipated how useful these would be for the vision impaired community, but they are truly life changing. The refurbished item was like new. I would not have been able to tell they weren't new if they didn't have the refurbished tag inside. Very well done there. But knowing what I know now, I would have happily paid full price for these. They are that good.

Extremely Disappointed After a Year of Use
I’ve had my Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer glasses for a little over a year, and the experience has gone from exciting to extremely frustrating. For the price and the promises made in the marketing, these glasses have not performed anywhere near what I expected. The biggest issue is the battery and charging system. The glasses constantly report “Glasses low” at 80%, which makes no sense and severely limits use. It feels like the battery health has degraded way too fast for a premium device, and the warnings pop up even when the glasses are freshly charged. The performance is inconsistent and unreliable, and it makes the product almost unusable for real-world daily wear. I’ve tried resets, charging in different outlets, updating the firmware — nothing fixes the problem. For a device that cost this much, this level of durability and support is unacceptable. It honestly feels like I received a defective unit right out the box and didn’t know it until months later. I love the idea of Meta smart glasses. I WANT to use them. But right now, they disappoint every single day, and I shouldn’t have to fight a product this hard to make it work. At this point, I’m requesting a replacement pair or a warranty accommodation, because the experience does not match the premium branding. I hope Meta does the right thing and stands behind its customers.

Great glasses for recording POV Videos
Amazing stabilized video. Great for roller coaster POVs. Issues are the 3 minute recording limit, the blinking recording indicator light, and it can only record in vertical video.

I'm not really a tech guy,... was not a huge fan of Rayban either considering there made in China. These Rayban's however very much impressed me, here is why,..... POSITIVES: 1) Solid build, polarized lenses. 2) Leather Charging case, that holds a charge with led changing lights. 3) Great video recording on the fly up to 3 minutes, exportable to your photos in a flash! 4) Takes great photos with a click of a button! 5) Play's my music with voice commands, but could go louder in my opinion. 6) Answer's my incoming phone calls with voice commands, which is amazing. 7) Ask Meta anything and she will answer,.. super cool. 8) Has touch pause & mute features, touch volume slide commands. NEGATIVES: 1) BATTERY LIFE IS SHORT,... 3+HRS JUST NOT ENOUGH. 2) LED FLASHES WHEN TAKING A PHOTO,... 3) LED CONTINUOUSLY FLASHES DURING VIDEO RECORDING,... MAKES PEOPLE LOOK AT YOU FUNNY EVEN THOUGH THERE SHOULD BE NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY IN PUBLIC. 4) YOU NEED THE SPECIAL CASE TO CHARGE THE RAYBAN'S,... LOSE THE CASE YOUR SCREWED! SHOULD HAVE COME WITH A USB C PORT BACK UP ON THE GLASSES! REAL DUMB MOVE IN MY OPINION. 5) SHOULD HAVE COME WITH A MINI INSIDE VIEW SCREEN TO VIEW/SEND VIDEOS & SEE/SEND TEXT MESSAGES. SUMMARY: To "Rayban",... Overall I'm going to give you a solid 4/5 stars. These Sunglasses cost me close to $500. Canadian dollars but fell short on many features and could really use more features & battery life. I would recommend buyer's wait for the next generation, as the tech is already in use with other brand Sunglasses. I hope this helps you decide. Take care and stay well. J.O
