Rit Back to Blue Denim Dye Kit

Works very well this one package with the bottle of dye and bottle of dye fixative dyed 7 pairs of very faded og Levi’s jeans and gave them all a very nice dark blue wash. Quality is amazing especially for the amount it takes to dye so much clothing. Will definitely purchase again!

Well I started out in a pale and ended up in the washer. I threw 2 kits together and blued 5 pairs of jeans. I used salt and dish soap as per instructions and tried keep the water hot. I may have relied a little on kentucky windage when it came to the amounts. But all seems well and good. Nice and dark bluing. I will go at this again some day and see what happens. Hopefully the bluing will last like real jeans use to. We shall see. That day came, update to 9 Nov, used to pks in washer and blued 6 pair jeans, worked out very well. Nice and dark blue. All jeans were not very old in the first place. That shows how quality is not good anymore. Thank You Rit for your Dye Rit kits.

I used the whole bottle for two faded pairs of jeans and the results are super dark. I could have used only half a bottle, really. Excellent product. Easy to use in a canning pot on the stove. The fixative is holding the color perfectly. Hardly any blue after the first rinse. Good value for the cost since I saved more than $40 not having to buy new jeans for work. They look brand new.

Bought to over dye light jeans. I mixed two colors of Rit. Worked ok but color is a bit flat looking, maybe with a few washings it will look better. I don’t hate it.

Worked better than expected. Produces a nice very dark denim color as desired. Even coverage - started with medium blue color with some lighter/faded areas. A bit messy to use which is normal with dying process - so make sure to wear rubber gloves and old clothing. Color stay seems to work - though I haven’t washed denim skirt yet.

I was able to dye 2 pair of Arizona Jr 11 flare jeans, 2 pair of capris, and one pair of shorts to a satisfyingly darker shade of blue with this. I used it in my top load Samsung washer with zero issues. I DID use extra dye fixative, as I had half a bottle left over from another project. Dye did not stain the inside of my wash and didn't affect any following loads of laundry. The dye comes with instructions for stovetop pot dyeing, but you can go to the Rit website to get washer instructions.

Bought this blue denim dye to darken a pair of very light denim jeans. I lived the style of the jeans but not that light color. Used the wash machine method and half a bottle of each the blue dye and stabilizer. It turned out great. I could not be more happy with the results.

I guess I should’ve read the product description and reviews before purchasing but when I received my kit and read the instructions I discovered that it will not work for what I need it for 😩

Not indigo. More royal blue

Went for mid dark and used half the bottle. Result disappointing.

Converted my light wash jeans to a darker pair for winter. Nice to see the orange stitching stayed colour true.

Worked really well -brought old jeans to life

Ist letztlich einfach nur blaue Textilfarbe. Nicht irgendwie besonders für Jeans. Sieht also dann nicht wie dark blue Denim aus sondern einfach wie ne Jeans, die mit blauer Farbe gefärbt wurde und dementsprechend bescheiden aussieht. Schade. Hätte ich diesen Effekt gewollt, hätte ich einfach Farbe aus der Drogerie genommen.
