This product was exactly what I needed. I have a bed frame with drawers underneath that constantly slide out. In the middle of the night this has caused many bruises! The magnet catch is easy to screw into wood by hand. You just need to make sure the placement is correct to catch. It isn't a super strong magnetic pull but it did the trick to keep my bed frame drawers closed. It is fairly thin or at least thin enough for what I needed. I will purchase more if other drawers start to wander. Thank you!

Wow! If you want a small, flat mag-latch, you just found it. I had an accordian door in my motorhome that due to having been normally strapped open had trained itself to stay in that position. This little latch came along and holds it in the fully closed (extended) position under all conditions even rolling down the road. GREAT!!!!!

Product is great. But it was delivered with #6 wood screws. The screw holes are counter sunk for #4 wood screws. Using the supplied #6 wood screws makes the screw head protrude above the latch surface, making direct contact between the surfaces impossible. When I used #4 wood screws I provided, the surface latch was near perfect and workable.

Have an antique armoire in my bedroom for my clothes that is a family heirloom. The door wouldn't stay closed for years. Tried many catches and none worked. Really distressing to have a door that had ghosts in it and would swing open in the middle of the night. Thought I'd try this door catch and my my goodness. I now gently close the door and it stays closed. It now opens easily and stays shut. A God send. Love this product. Thank you.

This product works fine for my use but note it doesn't take much to open or separate these magnets. Dogs can push their way thru this easily as well as children. I use this on an inside door from my garage into the main house. It keeps a wooden screen door closed to allow for airflow with our garage doors open.

I used this to hold close a slide out cabinet that holds my trash. It's strong enough to hold it in place but not strong enough if you shut the drawyer to roughly because it bounces a bit and then is too far for the magnet. Very easy to open though.

This is a 5 star product but I gave it one star. Why would I do that? Because the included screws are TOO BIG for metal magnet and strike plate bevel holes and don't allow the screws to sit flush with the plates. With the protruding screw heads, only the screw heads touch each plate DRASTICALLY reducing the magnetic holding ability of this catch and making it useless for my needs - until I got the right sized screws. Let me digress a bit and explain why I need a strong magnetic catch. My one year old SPCA rescue cat is complete hooligan and figured out how to pull the garbage drawer open allowing her to rifle through the garbage at her leisure. I tried 3 types of kid proof cupboard locks, a wooden dowel and even a 2 foot bamboo back scratcher to hold the door shut but they were all a pain or failed. I needed a magnetic catch strong enough to keep my Lex Luthor minded cat OUT of the garbage but allow humans to easily access the door with one hand. To help you understand what I mean, I attached photos of the original screw supplied with the catch and strike plate on the right that sticks out too far and the screws I wound up using that sits flush on the plates allowing them to fully engage. The orange arrow in the left hand photo shows how far above the strike plate the original screws protrude. This happens on both the magnet plate and catch plate not allowing the plates to actually touch greatly reducing the magnetism. The right hand photo shows the bevel cut into the strike plate and the orange arrow on the right hand photo demonstrates how well the screws I used fit within the bevel. Once I got the proper sized screws in place, this catch worked perfectly and my cat can't open the door but we can - problem solved. So if you decide to purchase this catch, be prepared to make a hardware store run (I have a full complement of hardware in my shop but not many people do) OR you can use a bevel bit and increase the diameter of the bevel to fit the OEM screws, Either way, it's a pain and the folks who sell these should include the proper sized screws. Once they do, this is a 5 star product. Until then, I'll stick with my 1 screw, I mean 1 star review. Hope that helps - Your friendly neighborhood Tretiak

Exactly what I was looking for. Low profile. Strong hold. Easy install. Used to repair broken latch on my vehicles center consol which would open up whenever we hit a bump while driving. 4 screws later and it's locked in place and you can't tell anything was installed. I was skeptical these would be strong enough but they are perfect.
