As a autobody shop owner, This thing is below trash- it’s literally a cheap LED light with black stripes on it. Professional and proper lights eliminate better and create proper reflections. You can use most professional quality lights in most lighting scenarios. This thing though? Your not even getting a quality LED- your getting a light that has no power to it. When doing any PDR, It’s extremely hard to use this— and even worse if your trying to do it right. The brightness, the poor lines, the poor reflection, the cheap batteries, the usage of nonstandard charging input power, the fact that it came without a battery cover, The list of negatives go on. Do yourself a favor and spend more getting the right tool for the job- this one is not the one.

I had purchased another cheap version of this type of light before, but the articulated arm was terrible and the light was barely visible. This is at least an improvement over that. The arm is of better quality and holds its shape, and the light output is a bit better as well. I'm sure it would be much more useable in a darkened garage though. Also, I've seen complaints about the battery not working - you have to peel off the plastic wrapping!

For the price it is pretty good. The arm is stiff since it seems to be more of metal bar that can bend. Also recommend cleaning the suction cup off with rubbing alcohol since it has a sticky residue on it. Thought I had a dead battery like other reviews but finally looked at the bottom under direct light and noticed it was covered with clear plastic. It was so shrink wrapped on, it wasn’t visible even on the positive side of battery that sticks up. Once removed it worked and charged.
