Excellent gift whisky, premium presentation and very well received
I bought this Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whisky as a Christmas gift for my brother, who’s really into his whisky. I don’t drink whisky myself, so this was chosen specifically as a quality gift rather than from personal tasting experience. From a presentation point of view, it’s excellent. The bottle and gift box look genuinely premium and more expensive than they are, which matters a lot when you’re giving something as a present. It feels like a proper special-occasion bottle rather than a generic shelf whisky. My brother was very pleased with it. Green Spot has a strong reputation among Irish whiskey drinkers, particularly as a single pot still whiskey, and this lived up to that expectation. He commented positively on the smoothness and balance, and it clearly went down well rather than being something that gets opened once and forgotten. What stood out to me as a buyer is that this works extremely well as a gift even if you’re not a whisky expert. It has enough credibility and history behind it to impress someone who knows their whiskey, without feeling overly obscure or risky. Overall, a great choice if you’re buying for a whisky fan. Premium presentation, well regarded by people who actually drink it, and something that feels special straight out of the box.

10 year old whiskey has an incredible taste which lingers in your mouth, excellent
After a visit to Bath recently we found an Irish pub Flynn O'Brien's was asking the landlord to recommend a good whiskey from the West of Ireland unfortunately he had none but did recommend Green Spot single pot still Irish Whiskey whose ingredients come from Middleton in Cork but aged in casks by Mitchells of Dublin I had 2 doubles sat outside the pub in the sunshine I was hooked ! I have since researched via Utube this unique product and it history which is fascinating . But I return to main thing this is a unique product which I believe is outstanding and good value as well Regards Patrick Keleher Yes my family hail from County Mayo. 😇

I love Irish Whi
I love Irish Whisky and had never tried this. After reading all the reviews, i have been so looking forward to trying it. I've given it 4 stars as i thought it was very nice. But i thnk my expectations were too high. I will say that this is quite possibly the smoothest Whisky i have ever tasted. It practically wraps itself in velvet pyjamas before sliding down ones throat. It's sweet and light and very easy to drink, with a lack of afterburn that even the most famous of malts cannot boast. My problem was that, for me, Green Spot lacked character and depth. There was little to the overall flavour, when compared to many other mianstream malts that i have tried over the past year. Don't get me wrong, they could all learn a lot from that sweetness and smoothness here. But it was so close to being the best in all but the most important factor, i felt a little disappointed. I appreciate that this is all personal taste and i am not an expert. I can only judge by my own tasets and experiences, and i really wanted to like this a lot.

Hits the Spot
If Irish whiskey were a friendly storyteller in a cosy pub, Green Spot would be the one holding court by the fire while everyone quietly leans in to listen. Green Spot Irish Whiskey is a wonderfully approachable dram that manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. From the first sip, you’re greeted with a smooth, slightly sweet character—notes of orchard fruit, a touch of honey, and a gentle warmth that reminds you this is a whiskey with pedigree but absolutely no need to show off about it. One of the joys of Green Spot is its flexibility in how you drink it. Neat, it’s silky and full of flavour, allowing those fruity and slightly spicy notes to unfold at their own leisurely pace. Add a cube of ice and it becomes even more easy-going, cooling the edges slightly while still keeping that lovely depth of flavour. In other words, it’s just as happy in a contemplative evening glass as it is in a relaxed “one before dinner” moment. What’s particularly intriguing is that Green Spot is actually the entry point of the Spot range. Which naturally raises the delightful question: if the “cheaper” one tastes this good… what on earth are the Yellow, Blue, and Red Spots hiding in their bottles? If Green Spot is the opening act, the rest of the lineup must be an absolute symphony. Its a bargain at around £50. All in all, Green Spot is a beautifully balanced Irish whiskey—smooth, flavourful, and dangerously easy to enjoy. Whether you drink it neat, with ice, or while pondering the mysteries of its more colourful siblings, it’s a bottle that deserves a place on the shelf. Sláinte. 🥃

Top Tipple!
I'm a big fan of the ever increasing choices now available in Irish whiskey. Green Spot is certainly one of the best and is great value considering the quality of the drink. Smooth and easy to drink neat - don't spoil it by adding anything to it apart from possibly a single ice cube.

Inhalt: Man erhält 700ml „Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey“.
