So far so good. Not sure the tiny screwdriver was ideal in the box given this is a toy for toddlers but that said the perfect and fun toy for a young toddlers. Shame it doesn't come with batteries.

Of course, as is the way these days with many online products, the mat isn't as big as some of the photo shopped photos imply. It is however big enough and folds up for easy storage.The 'button' zones are larger and more responsive than I expected and register attempts to press by any means pretty well. Surprisingly well actually.The sounds are loud and enthusiastic, especially the animals. The recording feature records keyboard notes and animals noises and even the played timing, you can almost (I had a good go!) DJ a mixup track, its quite funny.The mat is pretty well made and cleanable with vivid colours and images.Pity it doesn't include the required 3 x AA batteries (even cheap ones to get you started). It did come with a little screwdriver to access the battery box though.Its an unusual toy to apply an age to, the noises would be alarming and 'higher functions' such as recording will be above a younger toddler. I am thinking 3+ but every child is different. It seems safe enough for younger if you want to give it a go.Current price of £16 isn't bad at all, but from a child playing with it so far, it doesn't hold attention that long, a young child doesn't really understand the playing a keyboard meaning as an adult does I guess. To a toddler its just noises. So Giving 4 stars as its not expensive but it may not get too much play.

This piano Mat is such good fun for little kids of all ages.It does say from age one but I will be happy to let my youngest granddaughter play with this once she's crawling as she can bang her hands on it and hear the sounds as she crawls about.Obviously she will be well supervised but I think it's nice to give them some movement enrichment when they are young, especially when they are crawling and might want to go in every single direction, so something like this could help them stay in one place for awhile.The mat needs batteries, which are not supplied, once they are in you can switch it on and it will automatically start playing music and sound.As you tap each key it will make the relevant noise and little kids can jump around on it and will delight in getting a reaction from their movements.It also has 10 preset animal sounds, just tap or step on the animal to hear the sound it makes. These sounds are such good fun!You can also change the sound mode by pressing the end button at the top, and there's also an exciting function where you can record the sounds you are making and then play them back.That is a big hit with my older grandchildren.There is a volume control on the yellow box where the batteries, this is my only slight negative, is that it was very hard to turn so it when I switched it on it was really loud.I'm not sure if they are all like this or if perhaps mine has a bit of a fault. I have turned it down though it was just very difficult.When not in use the mat folds up flat so it's easy to store or to travel with.It's very easy to look after as it's wipe clean and it is very well-made and robust.This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price and would make a terrific Christmas present for a youngster.
