Veil Volume 2: Calming Noir

What a beautiful work... I enjoyed seeing the small fragments of their lives. Wish we can see more soon!

Beautiful sequel to a well loved series. Every single page was a feast for the eyes, if you love fashion and not quite romance then this is for you.

This is one of the best manga licenses we've ever gotten in the US, and I won't change my mind on that! Another incredible volume! So much so, that I went back and read it all over again because the TENSION between these two is incredible! I guess one could maybe say "sexual" tension, but I don't necessarily think that's true? There is just something so compelling drawn in the way these characters touch each other and even the expressions they have. They give off this aura(?) where you're holding your breath because you don't know how the other is going to respond to them touching their hand or leg, so you catch yourself leaning more because you're afraid if you even blink, you'll miss the subtle change in expression or body language. Really really compelling storytelling and art that I really cannot get enough of! Granted I would be lying if I didn't admit that I STRONGLY ship these two and hope and look forward to their relationship going forward in a romantic direction, but even if it doesn't, I would still feel satisfied reading this series. I am once again HIGHLY recommending Veil, especially if you love a focus on incredible art! This is definitely a series that needs to be on everyone's TBR!

LOVE THIS BOOK

cute, been following this manga 2 years before it got translated and released in english. however, it was hard to understand because of the fan translations. these translations seem pretty good so far, but some part of me feels like, as a story, the first volume was a bit better. in this one, it feels like their relationship advances a little, they seem more intimate and loving, but it didnt make as big of an impact as volume 1 did for me. still looking forward to the next volumes. for people who know nothing about this series, its a subtle romance between a blind woman and a policeman. its not explicit, the artist chooses to tell this story through visuals and flowery language and shorts. there isn't an overall plot per se, just a series of moments they go through in parts of their lives. the art is very elegant and feels sentimental. story is not extremely deep (if youre looking for that), its kind of just about the connection they have
