Surprisingly Delicious for a High-Protein Bar
I’ve tried a lot of protein bars over the years, and most of them feel like a trade-off—great nutrition but mediocre taste. That’s not the case with the David High Protein Bars. The chocolate flavor really stands out compared to other bars in this category. It actually tastes like a treat rather than something you’re forcing down after a workout. The texture is smooth and satisfying without being overly dense or chalky, which is a common issue with high-protein options. Nutritionally, it checks all the boxes: 28g of protein, only 150 calories, zero sugar, and low carbs. It’s impressive to get that kind of macro profile without sacrificing flavor. It also sits well—no weird aftertaste or overly artificial sweetness. Overall, this is one of the better-tasting protein bars I’ve had, and it manages to outperform most competitors in both flavor and nutrition. It’s an easy go-to for a quick snack or post-workout fuel without feeling like you’re compromising on taste

The Macro-Math Miracle: David Cracked the Code on Taste and Nutrition
I have consumed an exhausting amount of protein bars over the years, usually resigning myself to the "chewy brick" reality that comes with high-protein snacking, but the David High Protein Bar has completely shattered my expectations. When I first looked at the nutritional panel, I honestly thought it was a misprint. Squeezing a massive 28 grams of protein into a mere 150-calorie package without using sugar seemed mathematically impossible, yet here we are. It is genuinely rare to find a product that completely resets the standard for a category, but the nutritional profile here does exactly that. For anyone tracking macros or strictly trying to hit a high protein intake without blowing their daily calorie budget, this is the holy grail we have been waiting for. Of course, impressive numbers on a label mean absolutely nothing if the product tastes like cardboard, so I was incredibly relieved when I took my first bite of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor. It captures that nostalgic, dense, and sweet profile of actual cookie dough but manages to avoid that chemical-laden, artificial sweetener aftertaste that plagues so many sugar-free competitors. The texture is substantial and heavy in the best way possible; it feels like a serious piece of food rather than an airy, puffed crisp that leaves you hungry ten minutes later. The chocolate chips provide a fantastic textural contrast and a genuine hit of cocoa flavor that makes this feel much more like a cheat day treat than a dietary necessity. One of the biggest hurdles with high-intensity protein snacks is often digestibility, as many low-carb options can cause bloating. I am happy to report that the David bar sits very well in my stomach, likely due to the thoughtful gluten-free formulation and high-quality ingredients. I have started keeping these everywhere—in my gym bag, my car console, and my desk drawer—because they are incredibly stable and don't turn into a melted mess instantly. The satiety factor is through the roof; eating one of these curbs my hunger for hours, which is impressive given the incredibly low calorie count. It is the ultimate utility snack that doesn't force me to compromise on enjoyment. It is refreshing to see a brand prioritize pure performance without sacrificing the eating experience. Usually, in the fitness nutrition world, you have to pick two: high protein, low calorie, or good taste. This bar somehow manages to check all three boxes with absolute confidence. It has completely replaced my previous go-to snacks because the efficiency of the protein-to-calorie ratio is simply unbeaten in the current market. If you are serious about your fitness goals or just want a cleaner way to snack on something that actually tastes like cookie dough, this is an absolute game-changer.

Recommend; good texture; price very high
Chocolate chip cookie dough is, so far, the best bar for texture and flavor. I need lots of protein to recuperate from a health event. This bar has a whopping 28 grams of protein, low sugar and tastes great, even for breakfast. Has moisture but doesn't fall apart. My only complaint--It's too pricey.

Insane Macros; Surprisingly Tasty Cookie Dough
These David bars have the best macros I've seen: 28g protein in only 150 calories, 0g sugar, low carb. Perfect protein-to-calorie ratio if you're tracking seriously. Taste isn't the absolute best out there, that's the trade-off for these macros; but the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor is surprisingly good. Little chocolate chunks give nice texture and real cookie dough vibes. I rotate flavors to avoid getting bored, and it digests great with no issues. Solid product and highly recommend if macros are your priority!

Delish and a whopping 28g of protein
I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Taste was divine and texture soft and chewy. At 150 calories it was still satisfying and tasted great, though not 100% filling. Best protein bar I ever tasted and it's packed with nutrients. I love that I can throw it in my bag, so it's convenient. I'm looking forward to trying other flavors – there's a solid variety to choose from. I'm most thrilled with the 28g of protein in one bar – incredible. What I would like to see changed, as I am mainly vegetarian, is a replacement for collagen used in the ingredients. There are plenty of plant-based substitutes

They are tasty and give you a lot of protein!
I really liked these bars. I bought the cookie dough and it’s very creamy and chewy and not like cardboard - like some I’ve tried. It’s also filling and stays with you.

Great Protein bar
They are really good. Easy on the stomach and great after workout snack. They are a bit greasy but as long as you eat them with the wrapper on them, they won’t bother you.
