The build quality feels solid, and it works immediately when plugged in with no setup required. Storage capacity is accurate, and for basic tasks like moving documents, photos, and small video files it works reliably. It’s a practical option if you need a simple drive that works with multiple device types. My only real complaint is the speed. Since it’s labeled USB 3.2 Gen 1, I expected slightly faster transfer rates. Got this for my Galaxy S25 Ultra. Using it to save videos and free up space on my phone. Tranfers are very easy and quick. The speed is phenomenal and it doesn't heat up like I expected. Easy to carry around and use plus I like that I can easily upload what's on there to my storage drive or computer. At first I didn't think was compatible with my phone but I was gladly surprised once I got it working. Performs very well and I like the overall protection of having to safely eject it before detaching it from my phone. Also happy with the amount of storage it offers. Got it on a slight sale but even the regular price is worth the purchase and I'm a longtime fan of the brand.

This is a solid product from a solid company, but I have one caveat for those of you that are undecided... I've bought several of the equivalents SanDisk units, and they fit just fine in my cell phone with a bumper case, but the form factor of the lexar unit requires me to remove the bumper case so that I can insert it into my cell phone. Other than that I have no complaints, since it was intended for TV use, but if I want to add anything to it I will still have that issue, and I will be wishing that it was one of the SanDisks! I would have used one of the existing ones I have, but sadly I bought 256 GB units, and the fire TV only accepts up to 128 GB units. If you don't have this issue to worry about, buy it because it is a fine piece of equipment, it's just not nearly as slim as the SanDisks, but it is a bit cheaper, and just as good in my humble opinion. I've used both manufacturers SD and Compact Disc cards in my cameras for years, and I can think of nothing negative to say about either one.

After ordering and receiving I was able to image the device and it is truly a quick and solid accessory to have. Recommending this item. Works as described being very fast. USB-C and USB connection.

I need to change my review and rating due to my operational error. The reason the flash drive was not connecting was due to the phone case. Once I removed the phone case it was able to connect to the port properly. Sorry for the first review. The drive works easily and quickly to transfer photos and videos.

It works pretty good! Have a good compatibility with a Galaxy S25 Ultra, is super easy to install, it have a small size, obviusly is a Type C memory, I didn't feel any heat level, and the speed is good, obviusly it will depend of all the files that you are moving

Works great and a handy means of saving, transferring data, pictures and videos. Wish it had cover for exposed plug.

Good quality USB drive, nice brushed metal finish, feels solid and does what it should. My old drive kept losing connection when transferring large files (despite reformatting etc), but this one worked fine. Mainly used for transferring files to Steam Deck - The USB-C connector made this much easier. Good speeds, no issues, would recommend.

Compré esta Lexar D40E de 256 GB porque necesitaba una memoria USB‑C pequeña y fiable para mover archivos entre el portátil, el móvil y la tablet, y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido para bien. Es muy compacta, pesa poquísimo y el diseño giratorio metálico da una sensación de calidad que no tienen muchas memorias de este precio. La velocidad es más que suficiente para uso diario: transferencias rápidas, sin cortes y sin calentarse demasiado incluso con archivos grandes. Además, al ser USB‑C, no tengo que estar usando adaptadores ni buscando puertos USB‑A, lo cual es un alivio si usas dispositivos modernos. El acabado en color champán plateado queda elegante y no parece un producto barato. El mecanismo giratorio es firme, no baila, y protege bien el conector cuando la llevas en el bolsillo o en la mochila.

This 'Lexar D40E 128GB Dual USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C Jump Drive, USB-C Flash' is being used on my (new to me) iPhone 15. Fantastic tool to transfer photos from iPhone to PC. No lag no stalling.. smooth operation. Great quality , Wonderful price and beats iBridge / Leaf Flash drive by a mile! Side note, depending on the phone case you are using the drive may not seat fully into the port. Like mine... I either remove the case or mine is flexible enough to just push the case off at the port area. Thinking I just may get two. 128GB is alot of photos, but another could be just used for backing up the phones, PS...I am not a fan of 'cloud storage' ;) Highly Recommend this "Lexar D40E 128GB Dual USB"
