Disappointing. Seized telescopic legs
Review after 1 year of relatively light use = Disappointed.A couple of the twisting/telescopic mechanisms failed. This tripod may be suitable for clean indoor use. But using outdoors it has not handled a very small amount of grit/dirt/outdoor environment. The telescopic mechanisms have become sticky and 2 seized completely. I keep my tripods clean and in their cases/generally look after my equipment well. But this tripod has been a fairly expensive disappointment. I would not buy the twist locks again.

Lovely Tripod
Just what I wanted, a compact lightweight quality tripod. This is my 6th Manfrotto in over 40 years, having bought a few heavier video tripods. This is the first Manfrotto tripod with a still DSLR camera head.Great buy.

Its a travel tripod
This is very much a portable tripod - for travel - so when the legs are fully extended it is prone to any vibration. Had I known I'd have bought a sturdier model. Apart from that its a very well made tripod.

Tripod broke on first use
Ordered the tripod a few days ago and it arrived today. I unboxed it, mounted the plate to my camera body then attached to the tripod and tightened the friction arm. I then loosened the friction arm but the ballhead is now totally stuck with no movement at all. Loosening or tightening the dial does nothing, the ball is just stuck. Not happy as this was my genuine first use of the product.

Great travel tripod
I love the tiny size this folds to, along with the number of different heights available. I don't imagine it's the sturdiest for, say, a DSLR in a howling wind with a 10 stop ND filter but, in all other scenarios this is top notch.

Dodgy ball head
Very nice design and quite compact. Reasonably steady. The reason for 2 stars is that within a month of purchase and after having used it on only three occasions, the ball head got locked in a fixed position rendering the tripod useless in the middle of my holiday where I was looking forward to using it! I have emailed Manfrotto customer support but yet to hear from them.

First time in buying a tripod
Firm and stable with my Nikon D750 + 28-300mm lens mounted. Good built quality. It would be much better if the weight can be reduced further with that price and stability.
