6 years ago I installed conduit in my walls during construction and ran 2 HDMI cables to go out to my patio from a 1 in 4 out splitter in my livingroom so I could watch and control the same show between my livingroom and patio. The cables I used failed one at a time so when the second one failed it was time to replace them. Pulling the new cables was a slight challenge but much easier than the rigid cables I replaced. They are nice, flexible and thinner. The only mistake I made was not paying attention to a little sticker at one end of the cable that says TV. There are no instructions that come with the cable and the description say unidirectional which if I understand what unidirectional is, they aren't. As I was testing initially before I ran them into the conduit, I had the cable backwards and they didn't work so make sure the end with the "TV" sticker plugs into your display.

I purchased this Highwings 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI cable specifically to connect my Nikon Z50 to my computer for use as a high-quality face cam during video calls and streaming. So far, it’s been excellent in every way. Setup was effortless—just plugged the Micro HDMI end into the Z50 and the HDMI into my capture card, and I was up and running in OBS in seconds. The video feed is crisp and stable, even at 4K@60Hz. I’ve had zero issues with signal dropouts or flickering, which is something I’ve unfortunately experienced with cheaper cables in the past. What really stands out to me is the build quality. The cable has a braided nylon exterior that feels durable but is also flexible enough to work with in a desk setup. The connectors fit snugly into the ports without any looseness or wiggling, which helps ensure a consistent signal—important when you’re recording or live-streaming. The 6-foot length is perfect for my setup—I have my Z50 mounted on a tripod behind my monitor, and the cable gives me just the right amount of slack without being too long or cluttered. If you’re a content creator, streamer, or even just someone looking to upgrade their webcam setup using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, this cable is a reliable, affordable choice. I’d happily recommend it for anyone using a Nikon Z50, Sony Alpha, or similar Micro HDMI-equipped camera. This is one of those products that just works—and when you’re building a rig you rely on daily, that’s exactly what you want.
