Having the Os pre installed saves a lot of time. It’s ready to use out of the box, even with games included, so it’s a great gift.

great price for such a capable unit, onion OS makes it shine far beyond its competitors. its quite small making the ergonomics not great if you need shoulder buttons but for gameboy or PSx rpg games i dotn think you could pick a better unit unless you wanted a larger screen. speaking of the screen its absolutely beautiful. the buttons feel great and the system plays most anything up to ps1. it feel sturdy but not to the point i wouldn't worry about dropping it. just that itll be okay bumping around in a backpack or pocket. battery life is very good for anybody concerned about it. if i had to estimate. i play maybe an hour and a half a day on it if i have time and i can go 2 weeks if im just playing gameboy games. mileage may vary if playing more intensive emulators.

I'm only giving this 4 stars because the SD card corrupted within 30 minutes of me turning it on in the middle of trying to back it up. It took me days of reinstalling OnionOS & manually sourcing roms to get started again. That said, I still love this thing. The save states and game switcher make things really easy and even enjoy the video player. If you want something you can toss in your pocket to save you from boredom, this is the one.

The console is great. You have to reinstall onion os to have all emulators though. The device is comfortable to use even with a single hand, but the R L buttons feels cramped.

The handheld itself is great! One of my favorites. This store, however, I’m skeptical of. The handheld I received is clearly used. The D pad is well worn and not as responsive as it would be new with new membranes. The screws have been..well…screwed. The Micro SD card came DOA. Not worth the price. Clearly a refurbished lot sold as new if I were to assume. YMMV.
