Silicone Baking Mat Pastry Mat Non Slip Non Stick Extra Large Bread Kneading Board with Measurements for Rolling Dough Thicken

We have typical Formica counter tops in our kitchen that I didn't want to be kneading bread dough on. So when looking for something to set on our kitchen counter, I didn't like the various boards or stone products you can buy in the store. They were all too small, and too expensive. This product is perfect. It is large with plenty of room for a big pile of dough and flour all around it without getting it all over your counter top. It is rubbery like silicone, and when rolled up, it simply unrolls by itself - and it lays perfectly flat on the surface without anything needed to hold it down. It wants to lay flat and unrolled, which is great. It also grips the counter top and stays in place when you are pounding and kneading dough. The dough doesn't stick to it either. Cleanup was great - all I had to do was wipe it down with a soapy sponge and warm water, and let it dry. When done, all you do is roll it back up. I put a couple of rubber bands on each end to keep it from unrolling. I haven't used it to bake anything on, so I can't comment on that. For it's price - you can't beat this product! You can stop looking now..... buy one of these...… you won't be disappointed!

Love this mat! I bought this to replace a jumbo mat by Bake Buddy, which was too thin and split from use of a bench knife. My fault for cutting on it even though I was careful. This mat can handle it! It’s just thick enough to be durable, but not so thick that it’s hard to store. You need to be able to cut noodle dough and can do that (straight down press cut, not slicing) on the Oudisen mat. Pasta and noodle dough is tough to knead by hand, and this mat stays put without sliding around. The surface has slight indents that catch flour so only a small amount is needed. Saves flour! I’ve been using it multiple times per week for months now and it’s like new. Cleans easily enough even though the 20 x 30 inch is awkward in the sink. Rolls up easily, a Velcro band wrapped on it and stores neatly in a corner of my cupboard. Highly recommend!

This pastry mat had some minor crimping/creasing/whitening in the silicone, as it was folded into squares and packed tight and flat for shipping (no doubt in heavy boxes of hundreds), but I was unable to reproduce any "whitening" upon creasing forcefully, and so decided for the price point and our use case/needs it was an acceptable trade off/amount of damage, and we are very happy with our purchase. We bought this for bread and pastry preparation as our old wooden kitchen table surface is worn out and needs to be refinished. This nonstick surface is the perfect size for prep and makes clean up a breeze. I would not use this model/brand in an oven/high heat scenario. Update: One year later still loving it.

I was making croissants for the first time and needed a large flat surface. However, my kitchen counter is tiled and the tile grooves come through when trying to roll the dough. This was thick enough to create a flat surface and large enough to create space for rolling and folding the dough. It is large, however, and I wasn't comfortable putting it in the dishwasher (though it is dishwasher safe), so I handwashed it and it took a bit of skill. Next time I'll brave the dishwasher and see how it goes. Because you can roll it, it is easy to store and I've rolled it tight enough to put in the large utensil holder. I'm very glad to have found this as it worked really well. The croissants not so much but now I have the flat surface to work on perfecting my processes.

We tried a few different mats & this one is GREAT! It's thick so it stays put when you unroll it, it's super easy to clean & all the measurement guides are an added bonus! I highly recommend this mat for all your kneading & rolling needs!!

While this product is cumbersome to clean because it is so big, it serves its purpose well. It sticks to my countertop well and has plenty of space to roll out dough. It doesn’t come off the counter at all. The best way to clean it is to wipe it down while it is still laid out. I’ve tried to wash it in the sink and that is harder but the size is worth it and keeps the counter cleanup easier.
