A burlier version of the Pulse series, the Rab Men’s Force Hoody offers the same great sun protection in a sturdier design that’s made to tackle your on-trail adventures for years to come. The close-fitting hood and UPF jersey fabric protect your skin from harmful UV rays when you’re out and about. The naturally lightweight construction is not only highly breathable but features an odor-control treatment, meaning this layer is fit for multi-day adventures or multiple uses between washes. Dropped shoulder and twisted side seams give you a chafe-free feel when carrying a pack, and the hidden thumb loops make it easy to layer on top of the Force without having the sleeves ride up uncomfortably.

Solid sun hoody
Unlike the other comment mine does have the hidden thumb loops inside the sleeves and I didn’t have an issue with the sleeve length. I like the slightly more loose fit vs the outdoor research echo. I think the materials used on the echo and Patagonia capilene are a little more comfortable but overall this is a solid choice for a sun hoody.

Good but….
So I like that this is supposed to be PFC/PFAS free, and it’s a really gauzy lightweight jersey.I bought one for someone else, who is around 5’ tall and it was definitely long enough. I bought one for myself, at 5’6” and there was more accidental belly exposure than I cared to sport.

Hood is pretty useless
I have two short sleeve Rab shirts and a hoodless long-sleeve one and would give all of them five stars. Though the hooded version is the same material and general build quality, the hood is more or less useless because it doesn't move with the wearer's head. If I'm walking straight and look left or right, I find myself looking at the inside of the hood rather than the road or trail. As a result I don't wear the hood unless it's extremely cold and I'm walking in a straight line. The hoodless version and a beanie or cap is a much better choice in my opinion.

NIce Shirt - Weird Fit and no Thumb Loops.
This is a nice, lightweight sun-hoodie, and it's breathable with a well-formed hood. However, the sleeves were too short, and the advertised "hidden" stretch thumb loops were missing. If the sleeves were longer or if the thumb loops were actually there, I would have kept it, but I ended up returning the shirt.
