We use the Braun ThermoScan 7+ for our whole household and it’s been reliable and easy to use. Readings are fast and consistent. The app tracking feature is what really sets it apart for us. I've purchased approximately a dozen thermometers since becoming a mom, and I'm so grateful I finally sprang for this one. I've tried underarm/rectal and several forehead. The underarm/rectal is supposedly the most accurate, but very difficult with wiggly babies and kids. The forehead thermometers were easy to use (I've tried several), but the temperature varied wildly - when you're in the thick of a sick baby, you want to know if the fever is 101 or 103, and your instinct to go to the doctor is very different for each. Anywho, after researching quite a bit I learned (though check with your own doctor!!) that in-ear is most accurate after rectal readings. I finally ordered this one, and I'm so glad I did. Not a day after it arrived my 4-year-old came down with a fever. This thermometer was a lifesaver. It's super easy to select the appropriate age and doesn't bother me at all that I need to do it each time (especially because I have two kids different ages). The temperature readings seem quite accurate. When my son was miserable, it was showing around 103.5 (yikes). When he started perking up I took it again, and sure enough his temp was down to 101.5. I really like the tracking in the app and particularly find it helpful for meds and knowing if/when I should readminister. Overall, I highly recommend this thermometer for anyone, but particularly those with young kids/babies.

This digital ear thermometer works great! It gives a reading in just a second and seems very accurate compared to our doctor’s office thermometer. Super easy to use, even with wiggly kids, and the display is clear and bright. I love that it stores previous readings too. Compact, reliable, and a must-have for every household!

Really easy to use, way better than any other thermometer i ever used, it is very accurate , I woudnt recommend a diff one, only drawback is that it had connectivity issues to the app

It's working great for measuring body temperature. I prefer the in-ear method, which is more accurate than forehead. You need to pre-set the age range otherwise, you need to choose the age range every time you use it. The Bluetooth function is convenient and easy to use. Overall, it's a great product from a reputable company.

We have a 3 year old and 4 month old and got this thermometer a few weeks ago when flu went through the house. We were so mad that we didn’t purchase this years ago. The ease of use is amazing. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and you don’t need to be a medical professional to get a good reading as depth and position within the ear is attained the same way every time. As opposed to a temporal thermometer that gives you a different reading every location you use on the forehead. Its usability is also great; 3 different age ranges you select from and a green, yellow and red colored screen based on the temperature result you get. I recommend buying more probes when you get this as it only comes with one box on 20 and if you have more than one sick family member you want to be putting a new probe on between each use. The picture is next to a pen for size scale.

I think we went through 5 or 6 other thermometers ranging from the speed-gun type, to contact, non-contact, you name it. Finally I spent a bit more to get the Braun because that is what the doctors office uses and we never looked back. Yes, you have to place it in their ear and yes, you'll need to buy the plastic tips eventually, but what you're getting back is accuracy when you need it most. Most of the others had wildly variable readings - when your kid has a 101 temperature and your other thermometer is showing ,"98, wait, 103, no, it's 99.6" then you'll regret buying the cheap ones or the fancy "touchless" one etc. I give this to new parents as presents all the time to save them going through what we went through.
